Video Games Don't Cause Violence!

I am tired of hearing all of these activists rant about how video games are the leading cause of violence in our world. To which I reply "Video games are not the cause of violence, it's the mentality of the player!" Anyone can pick up a violent video game and play it for fun, but it takes that one nut-job with a horrible home life and a depressing environment to come in and murder some people! Yes, sometimes video games can inspire different violent acts like the infamous "knock-out game" and such things as that, but not everyone who has played GTA has done the "knock-out game," or has stolen a car, picked up a hooker, had sex with her in the car and then shot her to get their money back, or something related to the game!

It's only the crazy people that do these kinds of things. I have played violent video games almost all of my life and not once has a thought of murder come into my mind. Of course there has been times where I had thought of BS scenarios that would never happen and how I would handle it like a bad ass, but nothing like "Hey, I wonder what a bullet in someone's head looks like in real life!" Many activists believe that video games are the 1 and only cause of violent acts. The person's physical background has nothing to do with the crime they committed.
