Excellent new age boomer shooter, goes to the top with the DUSK .

Prodeus is basically what you get if you mix up Classic DOOM, DOOM 2016 and Brutal DOOM. Artstyle, mechanics and messy deaths meet up!

Level design is great, as there wasn't even single level where you start to ponder that where the heck is the key or exit or something else. Finding way came naturally, the mapping system is similar to DOOM 2016, but honestly tad messy. Enemy designs are clearly inspired among of other things from aforementioned games, maybe little bit more originality would have been nice, but can't complain since end product is a bomb.

Andrew Hulshult did mix fitting OST for Prodeus industrial levels. Visual design is nice, as it's bit of an original take, while being clear and nice it can also be messy and distorting. Guns are for the most part fun and familiar, but perhaps didn't find twin smgs and minigun that good, but heck the pistol was just so great. Beefy sound, beefy effect.

Game introduction felt similar to Quake 4, but doesn't show the cruel details how our hero gets bit of an bodily upgrade and then it's time to return the favor.

If you want good bang bang, shooty shoot, go no further Prodeus will make you go hoot.
