Get this if you want to play the one of the most fun coop horde shooters of the last decade, otherwise just get the Legendary Edition.

Yes, there's still people playing the multiplayer, now myself included.

ALERT: If you have MSI Afterburner with RTSS overlay you have to add MassEffect3.exe to RTSS and enable "Custom Direct3D Support", otherwise the combination of Steam Overaly + EA Overlay + RTSS causes the game to crash on launch.

They've even fixed the forced EA Overlay, so if you turn it off in EA App it respects that setting, unlike how it was back then the game re-released here on Steam.

I can now recommend this.

Why has noone done this before? Not even the original author? Props to droot1986 on DeviantArt for making the original DreamScene wallpaper for Windows Vista and 7. Link to original: https://www.deviantart.com/droot1986/art/Mass-Effect-3-Techno-Turian-Drea

GIft from friend who asked me to play with them.

It's fairly fun, especially in co-op, but you'll need friends as finding randoms online is nearly impossible.
Singleplayer is alright, would be better if it wasn't always online and could be played offline.

If you've played MGSV:TPP or GZ you'll find a lot of the mechanics, even though not explicitly mentioned in any tutorials, are present in this game as well. The game does a poor job of guiding your hand. Virgil is naggy around the most basic mechanics, but there's a whole bunch of things that just aren't explained and you need to either research them online, or just figure them out yourself.

The game WILL test your mettle in navigating an "unknown" land in poor visibility conditions, as well as resource management. You need to eat, drink, keep an eye on your carrying weight due to all the materials you'll need to pick up and bring back to base, and always keep an eye on your oxygen reserve level while out in the Dust.
Now, I intentionally put "unknown" land in quotes - because it's based on MGSV's Afghanistan and Africa, so if you remember them you'll have a marginally easier time navigating the place, and you'll recognize a couple places. It's mostly a copy & paste job with some tweaks to make it look even more desolate, but kinda sloppy, although most of that gets "hidden" by the Dust.

As for the story... it's passable. Not great, not terrible. The setting is interesting, the execution is subpar even for a non-Kojima game. It's fairly short, but the time it takes to complete it is extended by just how much time you have to spend running around in Dust...

Overall, good game, but not a good Metal Gear.
