Hey guys, I'm so sorry to do this to you, but I need to work on my future for concern of not having one if I'm not careful. Please check out the video added to the description discussing me going on hiatus from modding Space Engineers.

Yeah, it's been pretty rough. I'm trying to get on disability myself. Having to go see a judge but, it'll be a year before I get to do that. Thankfully I have family helping me out where they can.

I've been modding Space Engineers since 2014, so it's been quite the journey. I burned out once and it was baaad but, since then I always force myself to take a break and do other stuff, whether it is mods for another game or actually playing. The main reason I've probably stuck with SE so long is most likely exclusively the community.

Feel free to add me if you'd like to chat.

If I could afford it, I would. I'm on a fixed disability income, so money is tight even up here in Canada.
I truely understand about being burned out doing something you love. I love playing Ark, but a lot of the changes and drama have burned me out on it. I still Server Admin for a friend and monitor the server all the time, updating when it needs it (monitor on my left with an RCon open :P). My wife doesn't undertsnad why I bounce from game to game, but I tried to explain that it's so I don't totally burn out on a game.

I only just started getting into this game after owning it for close to a year. So similar to the game I invested almost 2k hours yet vastly different. I'm loving the diversity of the mods available, and the amount of work that must have went into these blows my mind. start with doing a little here and there. Kinda like falling off a horse, if riding a horse is what you love you need to get back up again sometime but you don't have to leap up.

Have to be careful to not burn myself out on doing this modding stuff. Been real easy to do since I've lost a lot of public support. I currently don't play Space Engineers, so me modding is presently only really for the users. If I'm being honest, I stopped receiving donations from users of both my mods and modding tutorial/live-help and it kinda took the wind out of my sails for wanting to work on this stuff a lot.

A www, man.
Kinda wish you'd update quite a few of your mods, and maybe some more Tiered things.
Shaostoul  [author] 30 Sep, 2017 @ 3:32pm
nope, i haven't been able to get the this stuff yet
JDaremo Fireheart 30 Sep, 2017 @ 2:46pm
door texture issue been fixed?
Riverey 14 Nov, 2016 @ 12:32pm
Also, door seems to be missing the textures.
Riverey 14 Nov, 2016 @ 12:31pm
Hey! Can you please make a cube version of those walls?
They look awesome! (I don't quite like the floor, but leaver and wood walls looks gorgeous).

UPDATE: October 28, 2016

WARNING: Sometimes mods corrupt when updating. Locate the 9digit number in the URL that corresponds to a 9digit.sbm file in the AppData/Roaming/SpaceEngineers/Mods folder. Delete that SBM file and it will force a redownload.

Finally! It took a while for me to get the update out since I got home from Florida but, all is well! My cousin's brain surgery went fantastically and he's returned to work. It's lovely to be back in Washington and have everything back that I missed. IE: My computer, bed, and amazing well water. :P

Thank you everyone for your wishes and being patient during that difficult time.

-This update brings everything to the current Stable SE version.
-Steam thrusters were quieted and white box shouldn't appear.
-Glass should be fixed.
-Many texture fixes to be in line with the new renderer.

ah ok, sorry about your cousin mate.
Shaostoul  [author] 27 Aug, 2016 @ 8:28am
I can't presently. I'm 3000+ miles away from home taking care of my cousin. More info in the description. I have no idea when I'll be returning home due to the nature of me being down here.
NAF-5th.Legion-Waffen.Div 27 Aug, 2016 @ 4:22am
they could litterally cut your material costs in half, for a build.

Oh, no, I don't have a 45 corner. I do have 90 corners though.
big_blue_4101 13 Jul, 2016 @ 7:01pm
i understand where your coming from all too well. also, to make sure there is no confusion, i meant a 45 degree corner block. like the corner armor block but for corridors.
Shaostoul  [author] 13 Jul, 2016 @ 6:57pm
If I understand you correctly. Yes, I have a corner block. Also, I do not have the time to work on properly adding these to small ships. I have to focus on what's going to make me money at the moment, as I'm really tight and presently can't pay all of my bills this month.
big_blue_4101 13 Jul, 2016 @ 6:33pm
also, can you make them available for small block
big_blue_4101 13 Jul, 2016 @ 6:31pm
are any of your corridor pieces a corner block? if not could you make one? to make turns and curves smoother.
Shaostoul  [author] 1 Jul, 2016 @ 3:01pm
UPDATE:
-Steam Thruster 'should' be fixed and quieted down.
-Added support for the new variants system. (4000+ lines of code later)
-Cleaned up some code.
-No errors beyond "None File Extensions" present on release. I was able to place, grind, and weld all blocks without crashes.

The mod was released via the development branch, however no code changes took place that will break it for the stable branch. You will get a prompt about this, but you should have no issues.
Shaostoul  [author] 28 Feb, 2016 @ 8:39am
SMALL UPDATE:
-Glass texture changed temporarily.
-Many textures fixed, were behaving very weird, still more to do, lemme know if you see anything specific.
-Catwalk Stair should no longer be crashing
Shaostoul  [author] 2 Feb, 2016 @ 7:37am
BIG UPDATE:
-Near every single texture has be reworked to be better designed for better compression and smaller size.
-SLANTED FORCE FIELDS! I know, I know, took forever.
-DisplayName changes. Viewing block names in game should be significantly more pleasant.
-Assembler/Refinery storage capacity tweaked.
-New Gravity Generator
-Airlock door reworked a little bit to stop clipping issue.
-Airlock collision reworked slightly to hopefully stop so many explosions from unmerging.
-Hollow rotor is a little less explodey... Use with extreme caution.
-Many block position fixes, blocks finally showing up in block menu properly.

As with all big updates, if you have corruption errors. Delete the 9digitmod.sbm file located in appdata/spaceengineers/mods and redownload. No SubtypeID's were changed, so no blocks should vanish.

It's not something that I can fix, it's something on the devs end. If I knew how to fix it, I would, but I don't, so it's up to the devs or some other person with more coding knowledge/time to debug the issue.
Chaos Uncensored 9 Sep, 2015 @ 4:11pm
Great Mod as always, keep it up :). How goes the progress on the slow G-Menu loading issue? I recently had to swap out your master pack for 2-3 of the individual ones, the loading time for the items to show up in the menu was close to 5 min.

NOTICE:
So, I'm not sure what just happened. The computer I'm borrowing just crashed in a strange way. Everything shut off, but not completely. After waiting a few minutes I had to force shut down the computer by holding the power button. After booting it back up it claimed that it BSOD'd, but there's no BSOD file to view for information about what happened. I can't upload mods with it as it just BSOD's again, so I transferred them to a friends computer and am uploading my fixes through that computer.

I'll try to figure something out, but as of this moment, I'm not sure what the issue with this computer is. I'll keep trying guys. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for anyone.

LAST UPDATE
-Attempt to fix the long tab loading issue
-Added small ship variants to the ShaoCorp Misc mod
-Final force field fix hopefully
-Some other minor changes
Shaostoul  [author] 31 Jul, 2015 @ 8:10pm
No, cause the way Keen setup oxygen code. You can't have oxygen pass through a 1x1x1 block (not empty space) if it is occupied by a block, like the corridor. It's a problem with how the oxygen code works, not something I can fix, sorry.
Splifsend 31 Jul, 2015 @ 7:54pm
do these allow oxygen through them now ?
Shaostoul  [author] 31 Jul, 2015 @ 5:41pm
Thanks, sorry I can't offer an ETA, things have been going unexpected ways since the update to the Master Pack a couple days ago.
tom422 31 Jul, 2015 @ 5:28pm
Ok. good to know and good luck
Shaostoul  [author] 31 Jul, 2015 @ 4:59pm
That's on the agenda. I'm trying to fix various issues in the other mods at the moment. Like improving tab load time or giving the force fields the air tightness they should have.
tom422 31 Jul, 2015 @ 4:50pm
The walls with the textures look incredibly good. You can't see that in the screenshot with the yellow. The only thing i missing is an inverted wall or a full block with the texture on every side.
Thanks for this great mod.
