Wire Directional Radio Kit

Description
This addon enables you to transmit and receive data using a variety of radio antennae. It is compatible with WireMod and the tool is available under the Wire tab.

Each transmitting antenna has 4 channels and a base frequency (in MHz). Receiver antennas that are set to a base frequency having channels that match the transmitter will receive the signal.

Depending on which type of antenna is selected, the polarization, the distance and the transmission power will affect reception.

If the antenna is transmitting more than 200 Watts and a player gets close enough, they can be harmed. Radio signals interfere with each other and can be jammed by other signals on a similar frequency. Nearby fire causes interference.

NOTE: If you have Resource Distribution installed, the transmitting antennae must be linked to a source of energy.

Transmitter Inputs:
TxWatts - Power level to use (consumes this from resource distribution X 4 channels, per second.
On - Transmitter power
Channel1 - The first of 4 channels
BaseMHz - The base frequency in MHz to transmit on. The other channels are stacked up by 5MHz each above Channel1

Receiver Inputs:
BaseMHz - The base frequency to receive on. The other channels are stacked up by 5MHz each above Channel1

Receiver Outputs:
Channel1 - The signal received from the transmitter
Ch1_HasSignal - Whether a signal is being received on this channel
Ch1_dBm - The signal strength in decibels relative to one milliwatt.

Channel2 - Channel 4 have the same kinds of outputs as shown above.

All parts of this addon are my own work but input, requests and guidance from the users of the www.wiremod.com forums were drawn upon during its creation.

@The Snow Frog Feel free to do so, at the moment I can't dedicate time to this. Glad you like it, however! :)

I think i'm gonna fork this mod since you're not working on it anymore, been using it for years but now i know lua a little better; it has a few problems, namely antennas interfering with each other when they shouldn't (skew loss on one affecting all) and making complex systems really hard to build

The advanced duplicator might have changed since this was created.
