Before you start...

    Here's a list of transparent artwork / workshop templates you can use on your profile!  
       If you haven't heard of transparent artworks yet, please read this guide first:

             You can modify them in any way you want and giving credit

           First, find your Steam background...

       You can basically put behind your selected template any image you wish.
           However, if you wish to put a Steam background behind it,
     it needs to be cropped to match the position of your currently equipped background.

          There are many various guides and third-party websites providing
              an enormous amount of beautiful backgrounds.

             Here's a list of the most commonly used tools:

                 Second, crop it...

             Once you have your Steam background chosen,
                go to https://steam.design/ and crop your background.
            For furter explanation, please refer to this guide.

             Third, choose your template...

            Now it's time to choose your favorite template!
          Download it by clicking the link below the preview image
       and open it with After Effects (latest version of the software is required).


                  Each template consists of four compositions:

 • "Don't use!"              ➤              This folder contains sensitive parts. Use with caution.
 • "Canvas"       ➤               The preview of a whole showcase, can be modified.
 • "Left Render" ➤        Main artwork's preview, can be rendered to be used on your profile.
 • "Right Render"  ➤    Side artwork's preview, can be rendered to be used on your profile.




              To put your own background, open the "Canvas" composition
               and drag it onto the destined area below:




        To change the displayed text, double-click the text layer and type your own sentence.

By default, all artwork templates listed below have framerate set to 30.      However, there's nothing that can stop you to change that value to other.

To change the framerate, simply change the framerate of "Canvas", "Left Render"    and"Right Render" compositions by right-clicking the composition, choosing    "Composition Settings" and changing the "Frame Rate" value to your own.

It is recommended to use the latest version of After Effects!         If you encounter any difficulties, ask someone to help you!

How to upload ready-to-use artwork images...
