Cave Story is one of the most satisfying platformers you might ever play. The depth of trial and error the "metroidvania" this game has to it is perfect for telling a story. Because this game was made by one guy, you can tell that everything fits together just the way it should. There are no conflicting interests or odd design choices. It works.
The gameplay is simple; you jump around and shoot. The story goes in depth which is hopefully what someone expects from a game literally called Cave "Story". This game is magnificent on so many levels even besides those two basic things that you are not going to forget your experience with this game. To stealing the panties of a girl you like and then stuffing a magic mushroom into her mouth; to fighting a giant frog and the witch that cursed it; to fighting zombie dragons; to venture to hell and back.
This is easily one of my favorite games. I urge everyone to play it.

There's few games with Overwhelmingly Positive reviews on Steam (that prove their mettle) and this is one absolutely worthy of it. Play this game, it's absolutely filled with charming, action-packed dwarven adventures.
