Insanely generic and not fun, literally feels like it's trying super hard to be Doom while not adding any character or anything unique to the genre. Look at other games of this style... Ultrakill has insane movement and shooting mechanics that are challenging to learn but very fun even when you're not good at them. Prodeus has an insane art style that makes the game just feel insanely good. Hrot has a very unique atmosphere that adds to the game. This game is just knock-off Doom and it doesn't do anything particularly well. I also hate the whole "This game may be difficult for some people, it's like a 90's shooter" thing, like wow so the game is bad and pretentious, congrats! I mean truthfully the game is fine and I did manage to finish it but it is definitely not worth the money, though I got lucky because I got this in a Humble Bundle. If you aren't going to listen to my warning not to play this game though, please do not pay the full price for this!! Get this game when it goes on sale if you really just need it in your library.

In the past, I've said that I really just didn't like this game because it plays like a worse version of Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. Since then, I've actually played through the whole game and have the platinum on the PS5. I actually really enjoyed the game from playing it on the PS5, thought it ran well and had well designed levels and fun combat. That said, while I recommend the game, I STILL don't recommend this version of the game. PLEASE get this game on console if you really want to play it, this port of the game sucks, even on a PC that is well above the recommended specs. This is a terrible port and I will not recommend it until it gets fixed.

pretty fun game

I'm gonna start this review by saying that I enjoyed this game, I just can't recommend it for one huge reason. That reason being, the combat is terrible. The combat really just boils down to left click spamming enemies and then holding right click. There's very little actual strategy involved, it really is just "shoot enemies until they die." There's no weak point system, there's no elemental damage (Despite the fact that your attacks are elements), there's a perfect block mechanic that I used
a grand total of one time because it's risky and barely useful at all. The only thing that somewhat saves the combat is the stun talismans, which open up most enemies to where you can instakill them (Which can be very useful on some of the spongey enemies). The exploration and world is what really made me enjoy this game, and the side quests were actually pretty well written and fun, but the combat plays such a large role in this game that it is hard to overlook. So as much as I enjoyed this game, I really can't recommend it unless you're willing to overlook the combat and play the game for its exploration and story.

Bad in pretty much every way, the only enjoyable thing about this game is laughing about how bad it is.

Genuinely the best survival game I've ever played, and this is coming from someone who normally dislikes these types of games. This game is just different, every aspect of it is interesting and exciting, and there are only a few minor things I disliked about the game, which were how much luck is important to the progression of this game, because sometimes there will be an item that is super important or necessary to proceed in the game, and they can be impossible to find without a walkthrough, and my other criticism is that the Cyclops is not very fun to control in comparison to the other two vehicles. Other than those two complaints, the game is really great and worth checking out whether you are a fan of these types of games or not.

Saw a dude complaining that he didn't get Bright Memory Infinite even though he most likely got this game after Infinite came out. Let me make this clear, if you bought this game before Infinite came out, you get Infinite for free. If you bought this game after Infinite came out, you have to pay for Infinite. Obviously the developers of this game wouldn't give out a $20 game for buying an $8 game. Infinite being included with this game was an incentive for people to buy this game in the first place. It's like how the price goes up when a game comes out of early access, because the lower price is an incentive for people to buy the game when it's in early access so they can support the developers while they're making the game.

Anyway other than that, good game but really short. Still fun tho
