I love the game the same as any other Destiny fan. I will continue to support Bungie and their efforts to support the game. However, it is because I love the game that I can not recommend the game to anyone looking for a grind out a MMORPG. There's simply nothing to grind for in a PVE sandbox that revolves around Recluse, the same as it has been since the introduction of recluse. However, if you are a casual player that simply needs a game to enjoy, by all means, I'd recommend it.
Players:" Ok."
About that "2 years to get it right"? I'm surprised no one has made the connection with Bungie's statements as to why this season has got no ritual weapons. I think if they did do worked on Trials of Osiris for 2 years, they wouldn't be needing to cut development work on this season's ritual weapons. Makes more sense that they had to make Trials as a last minute decision seeing as how barren of content this season is and they could not afford another drop in players the likes of Curse of Osiris.
Wouldn't that made more sense as the mode itself with all the current gears are a straight up port from D1? It has becoming increasingly clear that the current season models are made to be as Minimum Viable Product as possible, operated by a skeleton crew while the the rest of Bungie's A Team led by Joseph Staten (which directed Forsaken) to work on that new Chinese IP Matter or Destiny 3.
Trials of the Nine has been put on hiatus ever since the end of Warmind as Bungie stated "We are putting trials on an indefinite hiatus and we wanted to get it right", added to that they also mentioned "You don't want the trials in D1 to be in D2". Now what do we get after 2 years of trying to get it right? The exact trials from D1 with the same armor and guns from D1, with the only thing new is a perk "Celerity" and loads of trial-themed exotic ornaments/skin locked behind Eververse. If this doesn't tell you Bungie's priority right now, then the following point might.
