73+ Fantastic "Walking Simulator" for fans and those new to the genre!

UPDATED AUG 26th, 2023!
"Walking Simulators" are incredibly story rich and usually leave a lasting impression on the player like a watching a great movie would.

I''m doing this for fun. No one pays me or influences me. I buy every single game with my own money and play them all to full completion, attempting to reach 100% each time.

Last 6 good reviews:

NEW: The unfinished swan - a VERY far cry from "what remains of edith finch" - avoid unless you want to maybe introduce a young child to walking sims.

NEW: Hidden Gem! Internull - Mind boggling. Complex. Confusing Smart. Hard to describe - Manipulate multiple realities to get to your goals - may blow your mind :) but highly recommended.

Killer frequency - fantastic game merging the vibes of 'midsommer murders' in 'painscreek killing' model. Very well voice acted, great attention to detail, perfect frame rate on my 2080, and a story to ... kill for (get it).

Toilet Chronicles + DLC Sure some will call it an escape room but it's more than that thanks to its heavy reliance on meta-narration and the usual tropes of WSs. Loved that one, cheap as chips, too : ( my wallet is starting to hurt).

Eternal Theads - everyone is gone to the rapture meets the painscreek killing. A very divisive title due to its repetitive nature and 'oh hum' objectives). i still enjoyed it. On the list it goes!



THE BEST???

- OBSERVER SYSTEM REDUX - maybe the best WS to date (see top 3 thread) - however note i was BANNED from their steam page because someone asked if other games of this type existed and i mentioned this page. Terrible community relationship, but great game.


Note that after much consideration I opted to list ALL walking simulators on the left whether I liked them or not. It is UP TO YOU to check the reviews first, my job is ONLY to list what's a walking simulator and what isn't. :)

LIST IS TO THE RIGHT-> These titles are for the most part considered to be TRUE walking simulators. Evidently, you should ALWAYS check review and make use of the 'refund' option in steam (play less than 2h, and refund within 2 weeks of purchase), as I can't guarantee their quality since it's a subjective thing.

Can't find what you're looking for? Check out the 'bad quality' walking simulator locked and pinned thread. You may stil want to give those a try, but buyer beware...

STILL can't find that one title you liked? It's probably not a walking simulator. Horror/Hello Neighbour/Puzzler like the witness are NOT walking sims. However, they are listed in the forums under 'alternatives'.
