Looks like it's that time again, a hotfix.

So after a lot of consideration we felt that "145+" isn't where we wanted it. And while the name was cool for flavor and throwback sake, it didn't make a whole lot of sense considering there's only 100 levels in Payday 2. So we simply renamed it to "Pro Jobs."

It sounds like a lot changed but to summarize what's going on with Pro Jobs:

• "145+" mode renamed to "Pro." (Duh)
  
• OMNIA SWATs no longer spawn on this mode. (Details where they went below.)
  
• You can now restart Pro Jobs on a failure.

That about sums it up. Pro Jobs still offer new enemies and new challenges compared to the normal game.

Like I said above, OMNIA SWATs will no longer spawn on the "Pro" mode. Instead they've been refitted to instead act as the elite "Zeal" equivalent for the Murkywater faction. Not only does this add new variants of OMNIA SWAT units this also adds unique Bulldozer units for them on the Death Sentence difficulty.

So this was a question I was presented with during the interim period of Crimefest, "What are you guys going to do about the new vanilla Murkywater faction?" Well, that's a good question. To be frank, we're not impressed with Overkill's attempt at a "faction" (a faction that consists of only two common units and specials). Despite this however, we did like the new "blue SWAT" unit they made. So we added him to the lower difficulty spawnlists for our Murkywater faction, and on top of this we've updated the assets for Murkies across the board.

The last highlight of this update, we've already updated his squad mates and now we're moving on to the big man himself: Captain Spring.

We felt that he didn't stand out enough when next to other Dozers to help identify him in a crowd. So not only did we update his entire model, we also added visual cues to help you figure out how close he is to being defeated. His Visor will now shatter when his HP drops to about a quarter left.

It's that time of year again.

For the occasion, we added new variants of zombie enemies to their appropriate levels. This includes new zombie Zeals and Gensec SWATs.

A unique variant of Titan SWAT that comes with the zombie hordes and comes with his own unique voice set.

Turns out we weren't satisfied with how Safehouse Nightmare was handled, turns out just flooding you with Nigh unkillable Dozers isn't that fun to play. So for Halloween we decided to do a small revamp to hopefully make it a decently fun Halloween heist that you'll actually play more than once for the achievements.

• Changed Headless Titandozer spawns to be a much rarer occurrence and lowered the maximum amount of them active on the map at once (scales with difficulty).
  
• Titandozers now have the same stats as regular Dozers. However you can still shoot them in their "neck nub" for "headshot damage" like before.
  
• The main fighting force for this map is now a swarm of Titan Skeleswats to haunt your safehouse basement.

So as we all know Crimefest is coming up, and as you are all probably expecting things in the mod are going to break. There is a fairly good chance that the mod will not be in a functioning state during the event, so I'd recommend waiting until Crimefest is over before attempting to play the mod when it starts.

This is probably the biggest thing for this update. Like many of you, we weren't satisfied at all with the Fortress subtree of Technician. While it certainly was powerful, it proved to be too much of a skill investment to make worthwhile and if you weren't planning on using sentries the entire tree was virtually worthless.

So we decided to basically remake it from the ground up, instead of just being about sentry guns, it instead (like the name implies) is about digging in like a fortress to hold the police back. This includes improving your interactions with equipment and armor in addition to the (now extremely condensed) sentry gun skills.

On top of this we made a few changes to Sentry Guns as a whole that we think will make them much more effective to use even without a whole lot of investment.

• Ammo cost for deployment skills made base abilities. It should now cost a lot less ammo to use them effectively.
  
• Rotation Speed and Accuracy increasing skills for Sentries made base abilities. This allows sentries to be able to quickly react to enemies and have the accuracy to effectively kill them.
  
• Silent Sentry Guns are now unlocked be default instead of being locked behind a skill. This allows you to easily choose what suites your own personal play style, that being if you'd rather have your sentry guns draw aggro or not.
  
• And finally probably the most requested feature of all: You can now repair broken sentry guns! Simply approach a disabled sentry gun to initiate the "repair" sequence and it will spring back to life good as new after a short while.

Special thanks to Offyerrocker for all the amazing work he did to help us get these sentry changes into a workable state!


On top of the major changes as mentioned above, we've also went ahead and made a few small changes to existing skills to make them more appealing.

• New rifle skills added to replace the now moved Bulletproof and Nerves of Steel in the "Combat Engineer" subtree in Technician. We listened to your feedback and agreed that having skills that buff the Technician's durability in combat better fit in the new "Fortress" subtree and have instead replaced those slots with more skills to augment your single shot weaponry.
  
• Many skills that were previously exclusive to LMGs and SMGs in the "Assault" subtree of Mastermind now apply to Assault Rifles! This will hopefully make them a lot more appealing and allow more versatile skill setups.
  
• Rip and Tear aced will now not only increase the reload speed of the Saw, but also Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launchers! Consider this a start for skills that also buff these weapons in the future for the "Ammo Specialist" subtree!

As you're all well aware Overkill has officially added a Russian Medic to the game. While we're grateful for the work that White3D had put into his Medic skin and still congratulate him on winning the contest we simply don't think his design works best for what we have in mind for the Reaper mercenaries here in Restoration Mod. And unfortunately we couldn't decide on Evilbob's or Zdann's Russian medic skin for what we liked more, so we decided: why not add both?

After a bit of a hiatus we finally feel confident to push a (relatively) big update that not only updates the mod to account for the Ice Breaker event, we also updated a few assets that needed updating.

We updated various enemies to help with identification and overall improve the quality of the assets. For example Molly and Ekektra actually look female now.
