PayPal International Good/Service Fee reduced?
Just finished a group buy of the Fanatical Killer 26, here are how three transactions went:

Amount $5.15 USD
Fee $0.23 USD
Total $4.92 USD

Amount $2.60 USD
Fee $0.12 USD
Total $2.48 USD

(I told the guy not to use any calculator and just send $1, I'm expecting $0.9)

Amount $1.00 USD
Fee $0.04 USD
Total $0.96 USD

Looking like the fee is less than 5% now? Something like 4.5%

How's that possible? Wasn't there a base $0.30 fee + percentage? That would be a huge change.

Wow thats a nice reduction.
This is only speculation from my transactions today. My PayPal region is US, and I believe the senders are from Europe.

Recently i send a payment from Germany to US with G&S and it was like you described it, no base fee, only the percentage.

Might be because of this change to US pricing
https://newsroom.paypal-corp.com/2022-06-Upcoming-Changes-to-PayPals-Pricing-Structure
It would add up to 4,5 %, 2,99 % base +1,5 % conversion fee.

However i also received a G&S payment from US to Germany and there was still the usual 0,35 € base fee with the 5% on top.

So i would say it is not general and depends on the country sending and receiving.

So, still convoluted as usual :steamfacepalm:

Definitely not a global change, sadly: the fee is still 4.4% + $0.30 here.
Basically the message is:

EVERYONE COME TO US BUYERS :papyruswacky:

G&S fees depend on the country receiving.
F&F fees depend on the country sending.

It's just which end of the transaction the fees are charged.

This is the new fee for US:
https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/merchant-fees

Send/Receive Money for Goods and Services 2.99%

plus

Additional percentage-based fee for international commercial transactions
All Commercial Transactions 1.50%All Commercial Transactions 1.50%

So 4.49% of the total being sent.

Thanks for the better explanation! My monkey brain can only copy&pasta some transaction records.
I have experienced this as well, several times. But then one time, the fee taken was more than expected, but less than it used to be. Threw all my theories out the window XD

I traded with non-US region a few days ago, still 4.5% fee. Not sure what's going on with your trades :lunar2019piginablanket:

This one was some time ago. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I think the fee taken was something like 7% instead of the 4.5-5% i was expecting. No clue why :crycat2:
