I just noticed that only moderators, etc., could schedule events in this group. I changed it so that any member can do so (and also recommend games). So, feel free to use those features, whoever you are, and let's make some new friends :)

We had two games with full crews today--talvo, trinsec, AlphaDiode(R), jurica.palijan, Absolver, and myself. Zindelis had to go, but we assumed he was working in Ten Forward. Player of the Week goes to Absolver (who had the conn) for not mistaking Trinsec's command to go to "RAMMING SPEED!!!" as a command from captain talvo ;) Both missions were successes BTW.

Same time next Sunday--maybe we can try the TNG mod then.

Just a reminder that on Sunday (8/31/2014), between 1 and 5pm Eastern time (daylight savings [EDT]), we are trying to get a full crew together for a game or more of Artemis. If we get more than a full crew, we can split ourselves up and pilot two ships in cooperative mode. So far, we only have myself and talvo (who hopefully can run the server). Hoping to get jurica.palijan (aka Stoko) on engineering, as well. That will make three. It should be a good time, so I hope as many as possible are able to show up. Don't worry about how good you are--we are all newbies :) Don't forget, those who don't own the game can download the demo, which allows the player to man (or woman?) the pilot's seat or weapons station (only).

Oops! Just download the rar file here http://artemiswiki.pbworks.com/w/page/69220213/Star%20Trek%20TNG%20Mod and extract the contents to your Artemis directory. Run Artemis.bat once, select the option 'G' and then, when you run Artemis from your Steam library, the TNG mod should be enabled. This is the final and crucial portion of your Starfleet Academy training, cadets--Good luck to you all!

:::DISREGARD THESE INSTRUCTIONS:::To install the Next Generation mod, download the version for 2.1.1 from http://artemis.forumchitchat.com/post/star-trek-tng-mod-for-artemis-2-1-1-6452137 (it's at the bottom of the top post). Open the .rar and move the files from the folder contained within to your Artemis directory. When we are playing, go to your Artemis directory, run "Play Artemis.bat" and select "G." It's all Star Trek from there on. Live a while and prosper a bit.
