so What is Tesseract (often stylized as TesseracT) are an English progressive metal band from Milton Keynes.[1] The band, formed in 2003, consists of Daniel Tompkins (lead vocals), Alec "Acle" Kahney (lead guitar and producer), James Monteith (rhythm guitar), Amos Williams (bass, backing vocals) and Jay Postones (drums, percussion). The band is currently signed to Kscope.[2] They are credited as one of the bands to pioneer the djent movement in progressive metal.[3] As of 2022, Tesseract have released four studio albums: One, Altered State, Polaris and Sonder, as well as two live albums, Odyssey/Scala and Portals, and the extended plays Concealing Fate, Perspective and Errai.and Periphery is Periphery is an American progressive metal band formed in Washington, D.C. in 2005. Their musical style has been described as progressive metal,[1][2] djent,[2] and progressive metalcore.[3] They are considered one of the pioneers of the djent movement within progressive metal. They have also received a Grammy nomination.[4] The band consists of vocalist Spencer Sotelo, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Mark Holcomb, Jake Bowen, and drummer Matt Halpern.

Since their self-titled debut, the band has released an additional five albums: Periphery II: This Time It's Personal, the double album Juggernaut: Alpha and Omega, Periphery III: Select Difficulty and Periphery IV: Hail Stan. They've also released two EPs: Icarus EP and Clear. All Periphery material is self-produced by the members of the band.
