FC - DirectX9 Issues/Bugs
This thread is for discussing issues with the DirectX9 version of Trails in the Sky First Chapter. It should also be used for reporting bugs that are specific to the DirectX9 version of the game. Please, please make sure your bugs don't occur in DirectX8 before reporting them here!

Release candidate is pushed and may have better frame stability when vsync is enabled in both fullscreen/windowed in DX9 and just fullscreen in DX8.

Sadly that's just a side-effect of including the Steam API sometimes. It's clean, but it isn't a bug I can fix either. If it scans first but doesn't get rid of it, that means it realizes it's a false postiive.

Yikes. Is this with or without Render Target enabled in the configuration, or both?

Can you check if the issue also occurs for you with Render Target set to Off?

Just checked. Black bacground still there, the other hasn't shown up but there is a flicker with the selection in the menu. Like the outline of the slected character or the mouse icon

Black background is fixed but the other graphical glitch is there as well as the flicker.

I encountered an error when in sewers during Prologue, when you are being told about arts and such. Game tells you to use S-Craft, however, when you press red button, the same message reappears. DirectX8 gave me no problems at that point.

Hey Sara! As you know I've finished my playthrough of SC for now.

I'm going back to FC and testing stuff.

I found something rather odd regarding the crossfade delay in both of the games.

In SC, as I stated before the delay is consistent and only happens with doorways.

In FC the delay with doorways is smaller, I timed it at about 1.10 seconds which is about half of the delay in SC for me.

I also found that there is more of these crossfade delays in FC than SC.

It happens at the end of battle for example, just before it goes to the victory screen with the same delay as it is for the doorways.
