[MAC OS & LINUX] Invisible Text Fix!
Hey, lads.

When attempting to play the mod on a Mac you will likely be experiencing the issue of text being invisible. This is due to the mod using a custom font which is not compatible with Mac. This can be fixed by simply deleting the mod's custom font and revert back to the default game font. Here's a quick tutorial on how to do that.

1. Navigate to your Perisno folder in the Mount & Blade: Warband \ Modules directory.

1.2 IF YOU USE STEAM, IT'S LOCATED SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 48700 (This is Mount & Blade) > 316610148 (This is Perisno).

2. Enter the Data folder within the Perisno folder and find the FONT_DATA.XML file. This is one of the two custom font files. Delete this file.

3. Now go back to the Perisno folder and then into the Textures folder. Here you will look for the FONT.dds file. This is the second custom font file, so you want to delete this as well.

Once those two files are deleted, the mod's font should revert back to the default Mount & Blade font which shouldn't be invisible.

Do the same thing then.
Or go to ~/Library/Application Support/ then go to steam--SteamApps--workshop--content--48700--316610148--Textures. Now delete FONT.dds file

Yeah, you do, but when you use the Steam version, it gets put in another folder.

Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 48700 (This is Mount & Blade) > 316610148 (This is Perisno).

Oh, ok. Thanks!

I just deleted the two files and now when I load up the game I get a bunch of squares were the text should be.

This solution works on LINUX too

Hey, lads.

When attempting to play the mod on a Mac you will be greeted by an empty menu screen with invisible text. This is due to the mod using a custom font, which is not compatible with Mac. Relax, this is not a big deal, and can easily be fixed, allowing you to play the game with no hassle. Unless you have one of the older Macs, in which case you might experience frame drops.

I've booted up one of my latest Macs and downloaded the mod, fixed the invisible text bug and played the game for a stretch of time with absolutely zero frame drops or crashes. Not on the map, not in battle, nowhere. If you experience these things commonly, it might simply be because your computer is outdated.

Anyway, let's fix the text.

1. Navigate to your Perisno folder in the Mount & Blade: Warband \ Modules directory. This is where we will be handling the problem.

1.2 IF YOU USE STEAM, IT'S LOCATED SOMEWHERE ELSE.
Steam > steamapps > workshop > content > 48700 (This is Mount & Blade) > 316610148 (This is Perisno).

2. Enter the Data folder in the Perisno folder and find the FONT_DATA.XML file. This is the one of the two custom font files. Delete this file.

3. Now go back to the Perisno folder and then into the Textures folder. Here you will look for the FONT.dds file, which you will also delete. This is the second custom font file.

Once those two files are deleted, the mod's font will be reverted to the default Mount & Blade font, which will not be invisible. You can now play the mod and read text at the same time. Happy hunting.

Cheers,
Alex.
