Request: Discounted Alumenite option
I just started messing with this mod after having it installed a while and just noticed the cost of Alumenite that seems to be the backbone item of this mod and was shocked at the sticker price for literally one bar. I play this game by myself and from what I can tell 1k bars is not out of the question to get everything in this mod meaning 5k of 4 different rare ore types that more or less have to all be collected on diffrent planets to find each of them in decent amounts as it is literally 5 of each ore (other than the Voililum at 2 each) to produce one bar of Alumenite. I would like to suggest the creation of a side mod that changes the number of Alumenite bars produced per recipe from 1 to 5 for people like myself who play by themselves and don't want to cheat so we don't have to spend literal days mining to gather enough resources to make a good number of items. The other major recipies seem fine it is really just the Alumenite that seems over priced for single person play. I make this request because I feel like it makes sense and should not be hard to do. The mod looks good but idk if I am going to end up using it if I need to go searching for THAT much ore by myself to see everything it has to offer.

Yeah, everything in this mod is crazy expensive. It's kind of balanced by the strength of them, but you still need to grind for everything.

I would say even increasing the number of bars produced to 5 per recipe would still have most things in this mod fairly expensive but at least reasonable. I mean the materiel ratio is 17 to 1 for a crafting materiel you need a lot of. 6 to 1 would still be expensive considering the materiel involved but at least more doable.

I did end up uninstalling this mod as most of what is here is just to difficult to get for what it is. I use the Shellguard mod and I know the creator of this mod is aware of that one so I will just say the Ironwatch weapons from that mod out perform anything other than the lv 3 weapons here and are MUCH cheaper in terms of amount of effort required to get them as you only have to finish a few missions to start getting them and the ones you are not outright handed or find on missions have a cost in pixels that are easier to gather than multiple tiers of ore. I make this comparison because these two mods cross promote each other.

Alumenite is simply WAY too expensive to be worth the effort of upgrading any crafting stations other than the weapons bench or possibly the augment printer as the pets and drones of are limited use and I frankly found the lv1 vehicle to be more practical than any of the later ones. The problem with this mod is that you have added a TON of grind with how expensive the ingots are without offering anything up to make that grind interesting again as you just end up spending hours on planets digging with enemies you are vastly over leveled for. What this mod offers in terms of weapons is totally disconnected from the grind in mining that it asks for and unless you want to add an entire mission set or other environment where Alumenite can be found as an enemy drop or quest reward I don't see how you can fix this issue.

Okay so I just discovered this thread like right now. For the Alumenite issue, I'm aware that the grind is massive, and I'm working on a fix for it. I might not change the recipe, and this is because I want the price of the ingots to conform to how it's like in KF lore.

What I am working on will be ways to get more Alumenite without the absurd grind. For this, I'm working on dungeons, such as resource cache located on planets, encounters with the Syndicate, a belligerent faction that likes to toy and smuggle Knightfall related items, and other easier ways where you can get the precious alloy, as well as other resources that is needed to craft the vast Knightfall arsenal.

So sorry for not replying any sooner. I'm much more active in the default comments section and in the KF discord server, so I wasn't aware of this thread. If you have any other feedback, I would appreciate it, but I would prefer if you can contact me from the discord server, or from the comments section instead.

I was not aware of any lore but this is kind of why I suggested it as a side mod to this one as it is much less of a problem if you are playing in a group and can distribute the workload for the crafting tables. It is a much greater issue in single player. Having other ways to get it would also definitely help but having a side mod like that until you have more ways to get it might be for the best.

Don't worry about it it happens. I only made a thread because there is a size limit on the comments section and this was more of a detailed thing. Other than the above there really is nothing more I have to add.
