Captain Jaego Roth has come to take on the Dreadfleet!

This mod adds several new living units to the Pirates of Sartosa faction. Norcans, Dwarfs, Men, and Beasts of the Sea, all will sail under the Sartosan Colors and plunder in the name of Aranessa Saltspite!

This mod includes 4 new recruitable hero types, a new recruitable lord type, new Regiments of Renown, and now new Legendary Lords and Heroes.

Big thanks to Dryrain for allowing me to use his Empire and Norsca reskins to make these units.

I also highly recommend you use this mod in conjunction with Lost2Insanity's Sartosa Recolor.

No, it requires a new game.

Is this lore friendly?



What is this compatible with?
Incompatible with mods that add new buildings or technologies to the Pirates of Sartosa faction

What about overhauls like SFO/Radious/CTT?
As a general rule you should always expect incompatibilities with mods of that scope. I have created a Steel Faith Overhaul (Grimhammer) compatible version, but until Grimhammer is updated I can't update myself.

Also, Vacuity has made a compatibility patch for his Unit Caps for All mod.

Can you add remove x mechanic from the faction?
Most of the faction mechanics like raise dead or preferred corruption are tied to startpos, which I can't edit without making this mod incompatible with just about everything.

Can I make a submod/use your assets for my own mod?
Absolutely, just keep in mind I used many of Dryrains assets for my units, so you'll have to ask his permission to use many of the visual assets.

Do you have any other plans for this faction?
Not currently, I feel this mod is complete and any mechanics I want to add to it would take far too long and will have to wait for Warhammer 3.

I find this mod to be fun as hell, but just to be clear about what you are getting into - it barely squeezes into the "sorta balanced" mod category. This pirate mermaid folds Vanilla Coast like a wet napkin.

To begin with, new buildings increase hero caps. New heroes got a lot of powerful stackable buffs that apply to already pretty good units. Manaan's Priest is as good at stalling enemy units as Light Wizard and Plague Priest combined, has a decent vortex, and can heal units. A number of things make the econ modestly stronger as compared to vanilla VC, and there is something like +35 diplo to helves, empire and dorfs floating in the lord skills, etc.

Vampire Coast++, basically, and VC isn't a weak faction to begin with, I think. But this is also fun as hell. Ikit is fun, Game 3 Chorfs are fun, Elon's Graybeards are fun, OVN Chorfs are fun - this is that sort of a new faction mod.

Hey, since Ogres are now a thing in WH2, why not give Aranessa her Ogre friend Ogg Halfheart as a pistol cutlass wielding Ogre as a unique hero unit. Also how about a female fleet admiral lord with bombs and sword weapons for Sartosa.

With this mod is vampire corruption supposed to be 0, or 100%? All the things that are supposed to increase corruption just seem to reset it to 0 instantly, and then all my settlements get huge public order penalties because of it.

Any chance of someone making a submod for this and "22 Slots For Mixu's Unlocker"? I'd do it myself but I would probably set my computer on fire trying.

I should have added that I have seen the video explaining how to create a submod for "Dogs of war". It does seem simple enough, except that I am on a Mac and the development tools are not available on a Mac.. It is therefore impossible for me to create the necessary sub mod.

Any chance to add the small mod needed to use this with Dogs of war ? I thought that the units contained in this mod would appear (that was what is indicated in the "Dogs of war" mod presentation page) but it does not seem to be the case.
I did start a new campaign and I have the required DLC. Any thing I may have missed ?
