About This Game

FolkOrigin is a strategy game set on a hexagonal 2D map. The main objective is to develop a settlement in a way that maximizes the production and extraction of resources available on the map. A well-planned allocation of labor results in the efficient gathering of resources needed for trade, allowing our settlement to prosper while units can level up and boost their stats. More exotic units also arrive at the settlement and can be recruited for a fee. A well-trained and equipped unit is key to defending the settlement, conquering new areas on the map, and surviving in a world full of Slavic monsters.

• mode: Tutorial - the player is introduced step by step to the basic mechanics related to the development of the settlement.

I’m working on the game together with my younger brother, who creates all the 2D assets, such as landscapes, characters, buildings, etc. I handle everything else – coding, testing, writing all in-game content, publications, trailers, and so on. We began work on the project in September 2023.
