Not sure what the problem was exactly, but I also had a corpse that exploded when I tried to grab it, sending giblets all around, and the blood detector kept beeping in the sleeping room despite having cleaned it. I suspect some blood got stuck between the pavements, since I sometimes left bloody footprints, despite inspecting the area with a lamp.
And also, trying to set anything down in the basement is a pain in the ass due to all the snow, and trying to melt things down with the arc welder is a pain because of the recoil sending them flying.
Downside: The notes need to be spellchecked and in some cases reformatted where they run off the paper.
The story about the family is good, if you read the journal's you will find out.
I played the map with another person and I got to admit we did not encounter any problems or bugs. The map is optimized good in terms of FPS so I think no one should have trouble unless a PC that is not that good.
The map difficulty is average. Didn't take too long to complete which is completely fine.
One of my favorite maps so far .
Would definitely play it again.
Try the instruction in my comment bellow about preview image error.
See if that does anything.
Go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Viscera\UDKGame\Content\Mods
See if frostflow folder is there to verify if you even have stuff on your hdd.
disable workshop icon if test an update or steam will overwrite the new changes if not uploaded an update:)
it still crash for 1 person out of 50000+subs so below is how to disable the menu photo/workaround:)
eNex shouldn't have to delete the menu photo or resize it to fix it for 1 user
sounds like the menu pic curse to fix it go here=
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Viscera\UDKGame\Config
open enex_lighthouse.ini with notepad
will see this=
[enex_lighthouse VCUIDataProvider_MapInfo]
MapName=enex_lighthouse
PreviewImageMarkup="UI_enex_MapImages.Textures.T_Preview_lighthouse"
MapPicAspectRatio=1.0
SortOrder=10
change it to this=
[enex_lighthouse VCUIDataProvider_MapInfo]
MapName=enex_lighthouse
PreviewImageMarkup=""
MapPicAspectRatio=1.0
SortOrder=10
save it=that will fix the crash
for some strange reason 1 out of hundreds of subs the menu pic crash thier game(probly a video driver issue
this map runs fine on my pc no crashes works fine with the menu photo:)
cool map too:)
Maybe.
Try verify intergrity of game cache and removing all mods.(You can verify in properties in
your steam library.And you can remove from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Viscera\UDKGame\Content\Mods
on the level, which helps.
I'm very interested in game design or in level design and one of those things that level maker
or good level maker has to achieve is to fill up the space with props that makes it feel
like is lived in.Personally I think I achieved that mainly because this level is inspired
from skyrim and is mimicked pretty accurately.
Unsure why stairs wide as that are a problem.As mentioned this homage to skyrim
and in frostflow lighthouse there are wide stairs just like here ; )
assets creation tool inside UDK support tools efficient enought to warrant my time spending it there ; )
screenshots with errors that needs fixing.
