es un chiste interno con mis compañeros del clan "Desarmados", ayer jugamos esta misión y a final queda yo solo vivo y morí cuando me refugie de una horda en la azortea de un edificio y sin querer me cai jajaja (la mison esta muy buena)

Has this mission been updated recently?

Very good atmosphere and some jump scares. Really felt the dread.
Sadly some error messags during gameplay: "sound file not found".
Also it was a bit hard to find all the evidence / clues. Even though I looked in every nook and cranny at the scenes I was. I give it a 4 / 5 score.

Make sure the Nato Rus weapons CBA is installed and enabled correctly, and it should work, based on the error message.

I got all the mods but I assume one of the mods has updated their assets so it can't get the correct box?

I got this error either MP or SP, both machines, as I was going to play with my Wife. Recalling how cool this was back in 2016 when i played it.

Love the climate of the mission and replaying it once in a while but it seriously needs the mods updating to just CUP which has much better and up to date assets. CWR3 would be ideal as you could put down actual Soviet soldiers and make it feel like 1980's. I also feel like couple more enemy squads would be a bit more challenging as they are not that hard to defeat even when playing solo. Anyway great job on the mission itself.

Some friends and I played this tonight and two of us are huge fans of "The Thing" and it really shows that either you are too or you just don't half-ass stuff. Either way this was great, best game I've played in a while.

Kinda, sorta. However, I'm sure he'll enjoy the mission and still be very shocked by the movie.

Are there any The Thing 1982 movie spoilers? I want to play this with my friend who didnt watch the whole movie yet.

Hi, would you consider to switch from NATO_Rus_Weapons_CBA to maybe CUP WEAPONS? The key check for NRW is faulty and the auto seems absent.

Really enjoy the climate of the mission. It would be nice if it got updated to use CWR so that it feels like actual 1982.

When i tried playing it the Insert Heli would just fly up into the sky and would intact go backwards, even tried restarting.

MP doesn't work. After selecting the roles the game kicks you back to the mission selection screen

Hello, sorry for the late update, it appears Armaholic has been down for quite a long time, so I updated the mission and updated the mod list, so the proper map would be easily installed. Only tested on SP so far, I'm sure MP will work fine, either way let me know how it goes.

Dang cant play this anymore for somereason, keeps saying its dependable on removed addons TAC VESTS, even tho i have it and have reinstalled it multiple times ._.

This scenario is so good, I had no issues with anything it worked perfectly, I watched both movies and got some of the references from them so it was nostalgic to play, It was good that there was always enemies to fight when moving to the next objective so there wasn't any boring moment. I think other than seeing modern russian vehicles nothing else took me out of the 80's mood. The guns and equipment really compliment the setting. All in all a MUST play scenario! Great job!

This was a really amazing scenario. Two friends who played together didn't watch the original movie, but as soon as they finished this scenario, they said they would be satisfied and watch the original movie. I'm planning to play again this evening by adding one friend from this video and another friend who knows the original movie. It was a great scenario. You even used it all up without any unnecessary space on the map! And The fuel runs out at the right time! I can feel that you studied this scenario so that people who play it don't feel uncomfortable!

I'm going to play with my friends this evening. Thank you for making such a great scenario.

How many players is this mission for?

I got an error message using both the CBA variant and the non-CBA. I had a similar problem with the RCMP Police Mod in another mission so I changed my server.cfg setting for "verify signatures" to "0" instead of the original "2". That allowed me to play it on the server. Gona try this one with the same configuration and see if that allows the server to run it.

Is that the cover art of the book Phantom Sun?

Hi Phantom, I'm really excited to give this a whirl, but my Arma 3 server is really not liking the Nato_Rus_Weapons_CBA mod. I keep getting a key error for it. Do you recommend I try the -non- CBA version of that mod or will that interfere with the mission mechanics?
