@HEN Rwandan machetes have been used for a very long time for things in everyday life. They are not just for genocide. The SS isn't either. They were a military force that commited horrendous crimes. The MP40 was not used for genocide, but was used for fighting.

On closer inspection, it's not Flecktarn, but Dot 44 Erbsenmuster Tarnung; a developmental step on the way to modern Flecktarn camouflage. The Waffen SS were issued it, but it was never referred to as "SS-Pattern", as the organization had experimented with many other patterns as well.

Just an FYI, the camo pattern here is called Flecktarn, not SS-pattern. It's still in use by the Bundeswehr (German military) today.
