@Rukio is that a one time thing or every single time someone enters a car? Because I don't use this mod (yet) in my current playthrough and MP, both heavily modded, and that also happens first time I or someone in the server enters a vehicle for the first time since the session's launch.

@konijima I have found a problem in multiplayer where vehicle:getCurrentSpeedKmHour() (seems to be in vanilla and with mods). If you change line 30 in the lua file from:

if vehicle:isEngineRunning() and vehicle:getCurrentSpeedKmHour() ~= 0 then

to: (adds a line, so the first is now 30 and the second is now 31, place under comment

local vehicleSpeed = (vehicle:getSpeed2D())*3.81
if vehicle:isEngineRunning() and vehicleSpeed ~= 0 then

the mod will work correctly in both single and multiplayer games (with mods 100% sure, vanilla pretty sure) Either way it wont effect the function negatively at all.

The mod unfortunately causes a pretty bad hitch. Especially in MP, when 1 person jumps in the car. It lags for everyone nearby.

Would advise against it.

How long do I have to walk for one km to count with the standard configuration? I walked for 30m and did not increase

I move with the car and the number doesn't increase, I hit reset and it doesn't stay fixed at the same value either.

Just wondering, but can you maybe consider adding your onTick function to an onEnterVehicle event so it only runs when a player is actually in a vehicle? Such as registering the function on enter event, then remove the function on leaving the vehicle.

After several hours of going through my mod list, I've found that enabling this mod causes errors when entering the interior of an RV (using said mod). It's odd though, because some of the errors mentioned in the console log reference Smoking Joe's Rucksacks... I made a copy of the log immediately after the errors popped, if you'd like me to send them to you.

there does seem to be something being weird going on with this mod in multiplayer, i had a car that started off with 20k miles, after awhile it somehow changed to like 200k something.
even the trip odometer weirded out, going from 5 miles to 6k or 60k (i forget which)

@Konijima - it appears that the mileage is not updating at all on my dedicated MP server, and whenever I change the odo reading manually as admin the value either resets or randomly generates a new value when it would update. Played around with the sandbox settings a bit but consistently did not see the odo value tick up at all.

is there any way to adjust the position of the mileage? i dont know if it's due to my resolution or what, but the mileage is never centered correctly on the dash. maybe due to my text size?

Great mod and all works except for mileage updating on dedicated server. Mod was added mid save.

@Cnwamw I'm testing on my server and it does work how it's supposed to. Try to set Meter per Kilometer sandbox setting to a lower value (ex: 100) and see if it changes when you drive 100 tiles.

This mod on itself does not effect the vehicle engine in any way, for now.

If a car engine has 100% then the starting mileage will be very low, about 10% of of the Minimum Starting Odometer sandbox setting.

1 mile = 1.6km
1km = 1000 in-game tiles, by default

ok but if its high mileage then what? does this impact the state of the engine? ie if an engine is 100%, there is 0 milage? or they work separately and have no actual impact, just nice to count mileage?

Hey, was just wondering if this mod replaces ISVehicleDashboard:prerender() because if it does, it will break other mods such as the fuel side indicator and colored indicators for the battery and engine. There are sources that say there is a way to add dashboard functions with a patch that doesn't remove compatibility with other mods.
