Anyone asking for an update should look in the workshop for "warband upgrade ultimate" that let's you upgrade most factions using the Chaos DLC warband mechanic.

Getting crashes at the bonerattlaz faction turn. Script says the faction is upgrading units. I shut the mod off and the issue is completely gone. Please advise.

Thank you I am still quite new when it comes to modding and scripting is something quite alien to me, so i have not doubt that i will get it wrong many times before I get it right....ish. Anyways thank you again mate.

sure, but you should rename a lot of things so the mods don't conflict with each other, like the global PJ_UPGRADE_UNITS at the top and any pj_xyz in event names and script file names

I know you don't have plans to update, but considering most vassal units and allies aern't upgradable without significant modding that in of itself usually has lots of incompatability, something like this would be great if it didn't rely on the warband system

Is it possible for the Empire to upgrade a regular unit into the special elector count unit at rank 9?
( rank 9 swordsmen -> sons of Ulric)
( rank 9 greatsword-> Carrosburg greatswords or Stubborn bulls)
( rank 9 empire knight -> Knights of everlasting light or Stubborn bulls)
A regiment of renown upgrade would probably be way too OP

It sucks you're not updating this, it'd be great to get some chaos dwarf support for this.

Incidentally we just had a major DLC and there doesn't seem to be any reason to believe other races will get the WoC upgrade system any time soon.

Just wanted to let you know that this mod works in MP, kind of. When you upgrade a unit it works as normal but it spawns a completely new unit of the same type with no rank and full health. If you have a full army it defaults to the bugged spawned unit and you lose the unit that you upgraded with the rank. Hope this helps.

Hi, not sure if you are aware, but for some reason when I am using this mod, I can not advanced beyond turns 3 or 4. Specifically, the game crashes any time I save. Without this mod, I can continue the game.

The Pastebin sheet says the demons have upgrade options, but does this apply to the Daemons of Chaos faction? The one with Yuri/Daniel in charge?

Huhu, Love your mod.

But it seems Unit Caps are no longer checked.

To check it, I started a clean new campaign just with caps, console, mct and upgrade units.
I took Karl, gave him 100.000 Gold with the console.
Recuited a bunch of Spearmen.
Gave them Rank 7 with console.
Upgraded them one by one to greatswords and was able to go over the cap of 10 blue points.

What i noticed is, that the count of blue points did not increase with each upgrade.

So I tried that process again and deselected/reselected the army between each upgrade.
Same result.

strange bug happening in a modded mp campaign i have going. when using this mod to swap a stormvermin to a halberd stormvermin (and other units that can swap instead of upgrade like that) the unit correctly swaps into the new unit but it also creates another entire unit of the swapped type as extra.
i have the button active that allows the ai to use the mod. this affect seems to happen with anything that can upgrade with the little testing i have done, skaven slaves, deathrunners, and stormvermin can all duplicate themselves from one unit to max army size as long as you have the money

I got a persistent CTD awhile back on the AI turn for Grimgor when he was trying to upgrade goblin spearmen to 'wh_dlc06_grn_inf_nasty_skulkers_0'. It may have been another mod breaking scripts maybe, but I never got the CTD when I disabled AI upgrades in the MCT. Just thought I'd report it if you needed to troubleshoot anything related to it in the future.

I love this mod btw, it made Warhammer 2 for me. I love bringing a custom named tier 1 unit and upgrading it so it stays in my army the whole campaign. It's how I played Archaon's campaign back then well before the rework they got in 3. Ahead of its time, haha.

Clanrats with Shields could be upgraded to Stormvermin? In the lore the best Skaven fighters can join the Stormvermin, if they don't have black fur they just paint themselves. Maybe at level 7 or 9 if you want it to be uncommon.

seems the CA method is easily moddable and the way to go in the future
