I finished working on it over a year ago. I started the layout in the autumn of 2021, then took a pretty long break from it, then returned to finish the whole thing in March 2022 or so and worked on it for a few more months. It definitely took a while, but I only worked on it in spare time.

How long have you been making this?

sunshine because the towers looked like the towers on sunshine

I think every map is going to resemble a bunch of others at this point. But you have identified some of the inspirations for certain specific elements correctly:
- The general layout is somewhat similar to Powerhouse, though that's mostly because all maps within the same gamemode tend to have a similar overall layout;
- That room overlooking a death pit with a large medkit was inspired by Hightower, or more specifically Helltower;
- The silos were partially inspired by one specific part of Swiftwater, although I generally just wanted to include some round geometry, since it's rather uncommon and I thought it made a lot of sense in the context of an industrial map;
- I'm not sure which part reminds you of Sunshine, I didn't really think of that one when making this map.

Its kinda like a mishmahs of maps. The ones i can see are hightower, (Strange?) powerhouse, swiftwater, and sunshine.

The issue mentioned by dabmasterars has been fixed. Cubemap reflections should now appear correctly for everyone. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Wow this is very impressive. Excellent job, I would love to play on this map. Hopefully some server add it to their rotation. Please let me know!

Can anyone confirm what dabmasterars says? I've just checked the latest version of the map in both LDR and HDR mode and the cubemaps look fine on my end. I suppose the HDR reflections are a bit too bright, but I think it's still well within reasonable limits. When I see "broken cubemaps", I assume you mean they're ultra-shiny, the way they appear when cubemaps haven't been built yet. But VIDE says the BSP contains all the LDR and HDR cubemap textures, so this really shouldn't be happening.

this map has an issue with broken cubemaps, where everything that has cubemap reflections (like control points) is too bright, otherwise i see plenty of potential in this map

Really missed these kind of industrial-themed maps like Pipeline or Foundry. I always found their design quite aesthetically pleasing

I haven't played a game on it but my god is it beautiful, this is what I think mappers should try to achieve in terms of quality in source/tf2 map design, it's still got that blocky hammer editor tf2 feel but has got tons of detail and added variation in heights in the blocky walls n stuff to make it stand out which makes it look more up to modern mapping standards instead of all simple blocky architecture and calling it a day. Watergate is the only other map that has that type of added geometry to make it look visually more pleasing. Seriously, good stuff! :demoticon:

This map is the successor to Badwater in terms of its quality and balance, 10/10, would recommend
