This is a good one. I like the pattern. It is simple but it's smooth I think that's a good idea. But I think you could add or change a few things to improve.

1. Change the lighting. It doesn't look natural / it's a bit aggressive.

2. Play with phong exponent and intensity. I turn mines down to 50 and 25 and it gets ride of a lot of fake gloss and adds saturation.

3. Get some advertising material. Make a nice background you can show it off in, play with 3d models of it ( I think that's the best way) give it some presence..and different background would add much effect!

4. Get rid of the pattern one some areas like ammo clip, grip maybe? Other areas are barrell, sights or butt. Adding a smooth black or other color with a different fill/pattern would help piece this beauty together. give the eyes less work to and still please them with a poppy pattern.
