the crash appears to be happening on the client thread, but TerraLib's biome spreading stagehand runs on the server world thread
the error is most likely the stagehand's script running after the client thread has already crashed and dying because things are broken (the error the script encountered occurs by simply trying to see what's there in a position where a broken matmod is, and TerraLib's biome spreader scans the area constantly, which is probably why it fails)

Not running on 32 bit. Thought it might have been a conflict with something from K'Rakoths because it keeps happening on the ashy planets from that mod, reported it to them first.

So, something relating to a material glowing is causing an access violation crash.
(Maybe the game is running out of memory?)
Are you on 32-bit?

This mod does add that file, but the error you're seeing is not the reason for the crash. The actual crash is above it, the access violation with a stack trace that mentions MaterialDatabase::radiantLight.

I haven't updated either of these mods in a long time. It may be a while before I find the motivation to do so again. Terraria Mod is on Github, though, if you'd like to add things yourself.

It used to be called WormLib, and its internal name is still wormlib, but worms aren't the only Terraria-like thing I'm putting in it

Why would a mod dedicated to adding worms have the Terraria boss summon sound?

the worm bosses don't use this, it's separate

there also isn't a tutorial, but there is a readme on how to use this on a monstertype
check the non-boss worm enemies
if you want to make a custom script for a purpose, you'll want to already know how to do scripting
since that involves copying and modifying the worm scripts

this skull worm is too OP, it beat any armor i use in any desert world that mob instant kill anybody, i just liked to spawn the eye of Chtulu and i captured with catch em all pod

The head is the actual worm, body and tail will simply die instantly with nothing in front of them
What does it say as error in log?

i have a problem, i can't spawn the worm's head, body and tail spawn properly but die instantly, i think that's normal.

Starbound has a built-in asset unpacker. You might be able to figure it out if you check the wiki's modding guide.

This mod contains all the scripts I make for generic enemy types in my other mod.
In Terraria, there are plenty of different enemies with very similar behaviour. The AI for those enemies when I port them will be stored in here, allowing you to make your own mods that use Terraria AI

This is a freaking awesome mod! The worms have issues tracking though, feels like. I just ran into one on a desert planet.

Making the worm persistent doesn't mean it stays active, that just makes the monster be saved to the chunk instead of actually staying existent, so it's just like despawning the monster, only you can come back and it'll still be there

I also made it so that the worms try to respawn any segments that go missing, so the most that despawning would do would just make a lot of noise and maybe drop whatever the segments drop

the thing i dont know is if the body segments and tails will stay, as far i see it will follow all the pieces but if you get offscreen dunno if it will happen that the worm parts doesnt connect like sometimes.

as in, pretty sure you can't use Starbound functions that use the monster's real position, with a fake position

That's a problem with Starbound, and I'd have to essentially "fake" a worm's actual position to stop that, problem is, trying to fake a position will cause problems with Starbound's APIs

Hi! One question man, Why stardustdragon if is a bit offscreen he leaves combat? i mean is there any possibility to chase the player again and not lose him? Im trying to make some worm but it happens the same, if the worm get a bit far it despawns.
