v3.0

The Frontiers Update

Long time no see! Amy just received a huge update! It's got balance adjustments, cosmetic updates, animation changes, a couple of hidden things to find, and even a new attack! So without further ado, let's hammer down these details one at a time!


Balance Changes:

-Up Tilt has been completely reworked into a new move! This new attack features Amy jumping briefly into the air for a twisting multihit attack! This change was heavily inspired by the SSF2 Project B mod. This attack deals 8% total if all of the hits connect.

-Forward Strong now does 15% damage when used without charging.

-Forward Tilt's sweetspot now does 12% damage.

-Up Strong's final hitbox has been increased in size.

-Up Special has slightly tighter air friction and does not travel as high, but the final hitbox has had it's knockback scaling slightly increased to compensate for the aforementioned nerf.


Cosmetic Changes:

-Amy has two brand new palette swaps, and one of them features Sage from Sonic Frontiers! The Sage costume also comes with a unique victory theme!

-Amy has had tons of her miscellaneous animations adjusted to look much cleaner! Additionally, Amy now has multiple airdodge animations, a new walljump animations, a new taunt, and more! If you liked the old taunt, don't worry! It can be triggered by holding crouch and pressing your taunt button.

-Several other palettes have had their color tones adjusted to stand out a little more from some of the others, especially for cases like the muzzle where the same color was used for multiple skin swaps.

Winter Update

This update adds a bunch of improvements and neat things that I believe make Amy more fun to play!


Cosmetic Changes:

-Some of Amy's palettes have been adjusted, nothing too crazy.

-Adjusted Amy's infoboxes in conjunction with some of the new balance changes that she received.

Balance Changes:

-Amy can now move side to side during the attack phase of her Down Strong!Additionally, the size of Down Strong's hitboxes have been increased overall.

-Up Strong has additional hitboxes in the earlier portion of the attack phase that protect Amy while moving upwards.

-Amy can now Pogo Bounce when landing a hit with Forward Air! This works with any of Forward Air's hitboxes.

-Forward Air's sweetspot now deals more knockback!

-Forward Air's sourspots now have additional lifetime, so that the move acts more like Amy's aerial hammer attack in the Sonic Advance games, especially in conjunction with the new pogo bounce feature.

-Back Air, Forward Air, Neutral Air, Up Air, Down Tilt, and Up Tilt all have less startup.

-Up Special's final hit has additional lifetime.


Of course I lied in the previous update, but now I think I'm really out of drastic changes that need to be made lol. Regardless, I hope you enjoy this update!

Summer's End Update

So as it turns out, there were a few more changes that I wanted to give to Amy real quick while I'm working on new characters and doing school stuff.


Cosmetic Changes:

-Amy's voice lines are now turned off by default, but they are not gone! All you have to do is press your taunt button during the countdown of the match. Huge special thanks to rICE for helping me implement this!

-One of Amy's palettes has been completely remade as a gift for a friend of mine.

-The colors for Gold's palette swap have been fine-tuned to better match her appearance in the Archie comics.

-Made other misceallaneous adjustments to various color palettes.

-Up Special's unique sound effect is now slightly faster.

-Implemented additional easter eggs.

-Adjusted various VFX for when attacks land.



Balance Changes:

-Amy's pratfall land time value has been increased (3 -> 6).

-The size of Jab 3's hitbox has been increased.

-Forward Tilt and Forward Strong's first sourspots now only hit airborne opponents.

-Forward Tilt gains a little more distance at the start, and the move now has less endlag.

-Increased the knockback and hitpause of Back Air's sweetspot.

-The angle of Back Air's sweetspot has been changed from 135 to 145.

-Forward Strong moves further at the start! Additionally, it's angles have been adjusted, and the move now has a little less endlag.

-Down Strong's hitboxes have been resized.

-Neutral Special's projectile now has an extra hitpause value of 2.

-Down Special's angles have been adjusted.

-Up Special has been nerfed. Amy comes to a complete halt during startup and is no longer invincible. Additionally, Amy covers less horizontal distance while rising.

-As a tradeoff to these nerfs, Up Special's final hit now has additional knockback.

-And many more changes!


This update really should've came out awhile ago, but I wanted to make sure that I got absolutely everything, and I think I did! That said, this really is going to be one of the last updates for a long time, so I hope you all enjoy the brand new changes!

Dimensional Rift Update

A tear in dimensions has presented us with some very unusual anomalies! This new update for Amy replaces her Tom & Jerry palettes with completely new ones! Of course, this update also includes a few balance adjustments here and there. As much as I love Tom & Jerry, I thought it would be nice to reference other cool franchises!


Cosmetic Changes:

-Amy has a new palette swap that resembles Max from the Sam & Max series! Lay down the law on your opponents in the name of justice! Win a match while wearing this palette, and you'll earn yourself a unique victory theme!

-Amy has a new palette swap that resembles Rivet from Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart! Guaranteed to Rip your Rivals a New One! Win a match while wearing this palette, and you'll earn yourself a unique victory theme! (RYNO 8 not included)

-Amy's recent updates have added palette swaps representing Madeline from Celeste, and Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy! These two palette swaps also now have their own victory themes!


Balance Changes:

-Down Strong and Up Strong's multihits now have increased hitpause.

-Reworked Up Tilt's backwards movement.

-Back Air's sweetspot has increased hitpause scaling.

-Back Air's sweetspot now hits at angle 135.

-Up Special's final hit has increased hitpause and hitpause scaling.

-Forward Air's sweetspot has increased knockback.


I think it's safe to say that this is Amy's last update for awhile, as I'm going to tune my focus towards new characters. I hope some of you are looking forward to what I've got in store!

Post Big Update Patch

Here's another update Amy that adds some changes that I decided to make.

Changes:

-Down Strong's final hit has a shorter lifetime.

-Up Strong and Forward Strong now do less damage.

-Slightly increased Dash Attack's overall damage.

-Adjusted the angle of one of Back Air's weak hits.

-Slightly increased the knockback of Down Tilt's final hit.

-Adjusted the knockback of Down Air's Ground Pound hitboxes.

-Increased the damage of Neutral Special's projectile.

-Neutral Special's projectile is now transcendant, and cannot be destroyed by enemy attacks.

-Adjusted Amy's knockback multiplier to be equal to Absa's.

-Added Henry Stickmin support.

-Updated Amy's preview artwork (this change was supposed to be in the previous update lol)

Huge Update!

Hey all! Because Amy is so close to surpassing 10K downloads, I thought I'd give her a nice little update. And by little, I actually mean big!

Changes:

-Amy has 16 new alternate palettes! That's double her previous costume count!

-Made some adjustments to some of Amy's pre-existing alternate palettes.

-Re-ordered of some of Amy's palette swaps.

-Made minor improvements to Amy's dodge roll animations.

-Added an animation frame for ground hurt.

-Slightly reduced the damage of Up Special's final hit from 4 to 3.

-Jabs 1 and 2 now have Force Flinch values of 1.

-Jab as a whole is now faster.

-Decreased the landing lag on all of Amy's aerails.

Tenth Patch

Here's a brand new update for Amy! The majority of this patch heavily revolves around Forward Air, but some changes to other moves have been made as well.

Changes:

-Forward Air's animation has been significantly improved! This includes additional animation frames and an overall much cleaner animation cycle.

-Forward Air's hitboxes have been re-aligned to match it's upgraded animation.

-Forward Air now has a little bit more endlag and landing lag.

-The height of Forward Air's sweetspot has been very slightly decreased, but it's knockback scaling has been very slightly increased.

-Forward Air's final weak hit at the end of Amy's swing has been split into two hitboxes to match up with the attack's upgraded animation.

-The size of Jab's hitboxes have been reduced, but the damage has been slightly increased. Additionally, the entire move is now slightly faster.

-The height of Forward Tilt's sweetspot has been very slightly increased.

-Down Special's first hitbox has been moved slightly upwards position-wise.

And there you have it! Beyond this, I don't think there's anything else that needs fine-tuning at the moment, so I probably won't be updating Amy for awhile. That said, enjoy the patch!

Ninth Patch

Here's a brand new update for Amy that's got a bunch of neat things included!

Changes:

-Down Air's startup animation has been changed to something new!

-Made a few more visual adjustments to the jab sprite.

-Slightly decreased the width of the sweetspot on forward tilt, but slightly increased it's damage output to 11 from 10.

-Slightly increased the height and width of Up Tilt's second hitbox.

-Adjusted the priority values on all of Up Tilt's hitboxes. The priority values for this attack go from greatest to least in the order that the hitboxes appear.

-The lifetime of Forward Strong's weak hitbox has been decreased to 2 frames from 3 frames. Additionally, it now comes out 1 frame later.

-Slightly increased the height and width of Forward Strong's last two hitboxes and adjusted their placements.

-Increased the height and width of Neutral Special's physical attack hitbox, not to be confused with the projectile, which remains unchanged.

-Forward Air's hitboxes have had their priority values increased, the sweetspot still takes the most priority. Additionally, Forward Air's final hitbox has two more frames of lifetime.

Eight Patch: Valentines Special

Love is in the air, and Amy's got a new update with lots of buffs included!

Changes:

-Made major adjustments to Amy's Jab and Down Strong sprites. These sprites should now look much better on certain alternate colors!

-Increased the overall knockback on the final hits of Jab, Neutral Air, and Down Tilt.

-Added small Super-Sweetspots on Forward Tilt and Forward Strong. Both of these hitboxes are located on the floor where the hammer is slammed, and only have a one-frame lifetime.

-Increased hitpause on Forward Air's sweetspot.

-Increased the size of the hitboxes on Down Air's falling phase.

-The placement of the hitboxes for Down Air's ground pound phase have been spread out a bit so that they cover more ground.

-Slightly decreased the damage output on the weak hits for Forward Special and Dash Attack.

-Amy's tech animation has been adjusted to make it look more clear.

Seventh Patch

A quick fix for the previous patch, this will be the last one for awhile! I promise!

-The only change is that the hurtboxes of all strong attacks and down tilt have been fixed.

Again, this is the last patch I will release for awhile. So until I release my next character (or inevitably update Amy again in the far future), I hope you enjoy what I have created thus far. Thanks so much again to everyone who provided feedback!
