Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort

Description
This is a recreation of the Walt Disney World Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida. The map isn't done yet, but the resort area is pretty much finished, and I wanted to upload a copy of the resort before I started adding a park around it so you guys could play with it. I had just started working on a fantasy main street when I decided to do this upload. The building exteriors are super detailed and I went for as much realism as I could squeeze out of the game. Everything is built to scale and it's really close to an exact match. I replaced the parking lots with rides. I'm still debating building the bridge that connects the Bay Lake Tower with the main building, but the pieces in the game don't really allow for it so it's not there for now. There isn't much park around the resort area in real life, so I plan on adding sort of my own fantasy park around it. Would love to see what you guys do with this, so be sure to share your work in the comments!

Included in this build are the following:
-Contemporary Resort
-Bay Lake Tower
-Contemporary Resort Garden Wing
-Surrounding Grounds

I have around 200 hours into this as of now. Really stoked at how it's come out so far! The rollercoaster in there right now is a design I made a while back that I threw in there for planning purposes.

The boats were built by R3dDragon.

a lot of the buildings in famous tourist places are in 3d on google maps, including this resort. you can spin around it, and check it out from almost every angle. perfect for building something like this.

i always wonder how peope use maps for builds, would you have to take screen shots of several sections of the park to scale and add them in using a series of properly alligned screens?! sounds like a headache to me lol. but how ever you did it, the payout was worth it

Right on! i used google maps to build this and worked really hard to get everything to scale and in the right place. am stoked with how it turned out. can't build a disney piece without hidden mickeys!

The Trapezoid building that the monorail goes thru looks so good!!! also, love the Hidden(ish) Mickeys

Really appreciate that @Slow_Target! I've never been there before and used tons of different photos i found online to lay everything out and decorate. I always strive for realism in my builds so it feels good to be told you nailed it! :)

No, seriously - we stayed at Bay Lake Tower a couple months ago, and have stayed at Contemporary a few times. The likeness is amazing. Down to the pavement outside Bay Lake Tower. Frontier should be ringing you up to hire to create DLC. This park makes me homesick for WDW. Too bad you can't save the resort as a blueprint, now that hotels are a thing!
