This puzzle used to be in the game until it was dumbed down, and it wasn't even preserved in the puzzle archive. I liked it because it was the only puzzle that required a rising edge detector, allowing for really clever solutions. That's why I recreated it here.

  • point and foul are simple inputs connected to buttons.
  • display is an XBus output connected to a numerical display.
  • The counter should keep track of a count, starting at 0, and constantly update display with the current value.
  • When point transitions from low to high the count should be incremented.
  • When foul transitions from low to high the count should be decremented.

Yay, managed in 4 lines of code, with the help of a PGA33X6, a 200P-14, and a DX300.
