Fabulous Floran Ship [Open source, pls adopt me]

***Notice! I haven't modded in quite a long time, so if anyone wants to take this up, feel free. I'm setting it free***


The aesthetic of the Floran ships never quite sat right with me, even though I love the race. I decided to take it upon myself to redesign the color scheme, add some more flora, change a few things, as well as repair it a bit. This only edits graphics, not ship layout.

Floran's are by nature, aggressive and primitive, taking what they could by scavenging. Though, I felt that an upstanding Floran citizen, who was on the cusp of graduation to be a Protector, would have a better kept ship, as they represent their race to the universe. To that end I have also made some repairs to the ship, to smooth over the scavenged and broken look of it, while still retaining some patches.

This mod has no graphical background, to follow the styles of Backgroundless Ship mods, as well as keeping the style of this mod if you use Tier Nine Ships, coming with both a T9 and T10 version.

A quirk you might notice is the background behind the hatches and doors is gone as well. To quickly fix any gaps when you get your ship, simply create a bigger window, using the scrap to fill up those empty gaps behind the door. The greenhouse is also changed, with one large window so you can get a clear view of space from up there.

NOTE: The racial ship replacers will not work for the Tier Nine Ships mod, and I don't know how to set it up so it will. So, you'll have Tier 1-8, but no 9 and 10 Floran ship. Sorry!
You can still run the mod perfectly fine, it's just when you upgrade to 9 and 10, you'll have your normal races ship. It's the best I can offer for now!

alshmutt, it's called Smarter Floran Investigation I think. But it's outdated and needs to be fixed since it was made in 2014.

I can't find a mod to give Floran a more Human speech. I found books where some Floran had evolved to speak clearly and removed the hsss. I'd love a better speech display for the Floran I'm using when I inspect things like mine was one of those few Floran!

I love this mod, and I like being able to change the backgrounds. It's worked fine with the tiered mod. I don't know what's different for me. I've got a tier ten fabulous floran ship, and my only complaint is after covering the greenhouse glass (A *lot* of glass) there's a little bit of an overlap- the glass extends beyond the ceiling. It's a very very minor issue, and I haven't had any other problems with this mod.

I love this design! Is there any way to get this to work with the Viera race mod though? That race uses the Floran ship, but for some reason it uses the default ship even when this mod is downloaded.
