[Concept] DIgital Counter

Description
This is a concept map, not a puzzle. If you are looking for puzzles look them up in my workshop:
http://gtm.you1.cn/profiles/76561198025774815/myworkshopfiles/

Following my latest concept map (Digital Display), I tried to make some sort of "clock / counter / stopwatch / chronometer" that would only require an input from the player to run, and be able to use the display I had built before.

Some enlightenment about the Counter:
– The Weighted Button starts the counter. Once started, leaving and/or re-activating the button has no effect on the counter.
– The Pedestal Button resets the counter. It is a timed event, as so, you will need to wait for it to cool down before you'll be able to restart the counter (takes around 12s to fully reset the map).
– The 'reset' command always supersedes the 'start' one.
– Due to PTI's item limit, the counter only counts up to 59, after that it freezes.
– There is a laser grid on the map, whenever it is active it means that either the counter reached its maximum and froze, or the 'reset' command is active. The laser grid will only go down after the 'reset' command completes itself. There is no other way to disable it.

I believe I gave all the explanation there is to give about the map.

Feel free to try it out, rate and comment on it. Thank you. #F4F

How did you do that?!

simply fantastic !!! more than lovely how the backcounter was done!!! greatest mechanism ever seen yet!
That's what my " PortCalc " should have been in the first place, but I hit the maximum item border with my concept, so it became just a 2-bit system.
But speaking of lasers: " Circle of Alive " may be your next #F4F favourite ^_-

I could not work it all out with noclip.
but the results & consept is outstanding.
a couple of glitches with some panels.
but mainly worked fine.
please try my map:

Hello @dante, sorry for the delayed response.

I've been trying to make a How To video as you suggested, but I am having some difficulties...

In the meantime, try to poke around the map with the noclip command to see if you can figure out how to make the map. I know it is a not-answer, but as soon as I have the video made, I'll link it to the map.

Could you post a Youtube video about how to make this counter? I want to use it in my map.

@Geneosis

I initially had the numbers changing using reflective cubes, but I came across that bug and had to remake the entire number displays using only lasers and OR gates...

The first time I tried to build this concept I used a self-destroying cube in a funnel that blocked the lasers and printed out the numbers, but it turned out it re-enabled the laser too fast, which made the clock impossible to read...

Thanks for the feedback.
