(Ironware) Mining Droid

Place this right in front of an asteroid and push the button. Come back an hour later to find that the asteroid is now swiss cheese!


-no mods required.

-no programming or scripts, just sensors and gyroscopes.

-detects and moves toward asteroids as far as 50 meters away.

-after drilling all the way through, this robot will flip around and start over again.

-if it moves too far away, or the asteroid is completely mined, the robot will stop and activate a beacon.

-I don't recommend using multiple of these on one asteroid. (They eat each other!)

-this could be used effectively in survival mode, but only if you already have the resources to build it!


I'm not sure exactly how much rock and ore this thing can carry, but it's main purpose in survival is to simply expose the ores so it's easier to reach them yourself.
