Operation Coarse Blade [SP]

Description
A terrorist group in Nigeria has taken two UN peacekeepers hostage in a jungle camp. Heavily armed and prepared for an assault, they pose a significant threat.

Your mission is to disable their anti-aircraft defence, rescue the hostages, and capture the group leader alive for interrogation.

- Single player, playtime ~ 15 min
- Hostage rescue and capture mission.
- Switch to other units, press (U)
- Change starting gear on map screen (loadout tab).
- Team radio lines only works if Arma 3 is set to English and radio subtitles to enable under options>game>.
- if you click subscribe the mission will be in you scenario menu in game.


The mission is from the Black Thorn expansion of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Rogue Spear. It works pretty well on Tanoa. The AI in Arma isn’t always easy to deal with, but if you’re familiar with the command system, you can make it work.
If you die, you’ll automatically switch to the next team member that’s alive, and you’ll be set as the team leader. If that doesn’t happen, use the unit menu to manually switch to another team member.

wow this was amazing fun, i never played any of the rainbow games but I can tell u enjoyed them growing up
this was really immersive and I like the loadout options, neat scripts

SPOILER ALERT: Yes, I counted the mission to be won for myself, but the helicopter didn't start without the men loaded. So no official end here. Givving a move command didn't help in my case.

When I playtested, I sometimes encountered the same issue. It's just the Arma AI acting up. What worked for me was selecting the specific unit (F1-F7) and giving them a move order on the map, or switching to that unit and then switching back to make them respond. If nothing works, only one of you soldiers needs to be alive.

SPOILER ALERT: I played it through, did the three tasks but then my comrades froze and couldn't be brought to entering the helicopter. Otherwise this was a nice mission in a realistic setting.

Thanks Komodo. When you play it set the game language to English, or else the team audio script won't work.
