Even though Battle Ground Commanders mod is technically compatible with Battle Graphics main + submods, i wanted to provide an alternative optional addon/submod for players that like to use Battle Ground Commanders mod together with Battle Graphics and BG Other Graphics: Zoom Scale Map mods. I am using this modified version of Battle Ground Commanders with my own playset and since i am already providing a lot of compatibility patches and submods, i decided i would also include compatibility with Raised Army CoA into this mod, because otherwise i would have had to provide two separate versions (one with compatibility with Raised Army CoA and one without compatibility with Raised Army CoA).

So this mod is meant to be used if you are using Battle Graphics + BG other Graphics ZSM + Battle Ground Commanders + Raised Army CoA together and if you also like the graphical redesigns (see features list) that i included into this patch. You can turn this mod on and off at any time and it's also save-game compatible.

  • Graphics only mod => no gameplay changes!
  • rescaled Battle Ground Commanders portraits ... smaller in order to fit with BG Other Graphics Zoom Scale submod
  • repositioned Battle Ground Commanders portraits ... closer at army and army info bar instead of far above army
  • added new portrait frame and icon for own player army (green) ... in order to complement the existing enemy (red) and allied (blue) portraits
  • with this mod all enemy armies (incl. enemy allies in a war) are going to receive the red enemy frame portraits around their commanders (with Battleground Commanders mod it's focused on the main enemy faction armies)
  • different visibility focus depending on zoom distance/step ... see screenshots
    very close zoom: visibility focus on armies (portraits hidden)
    in-between: focus on both (both visible, portraits taking priority)
    very far away: focus on portraits
  • also included some other small graphical adjustments

Can i use Battle Ground Commanders and Battle Graphics mods together without this mod?
  • Yes! Like i said before Battle Graphics mod is technically compatible with Battle Ground Commanders and Raised Army CoA. So this is not really a technical comp. patch. It's an alternative redesigned version of Battleground Commanders that is meant to better fit when being used together with BG + BG Zoom Scale Submod. It's completely optional.

this mod was just updated for the most current version of Battleground Commanders incl. new adjustments for the new Battleground Commanders graphical content in order to fit with the previously made adjustments within this mod.
Two additional comp. patches (for AGOT and POD) have just been released for this mod because they became necessary after the most recent update of Battleground Commanders. Links and mod loading orders can be found within the mod description - have fun ***

i didn't check if Raised Army CoA and Battle Ground Commanders are compatible with AGOT though. i assume they are. but if you aren't sure then you might want to ask those mod authors if their mods are compatible with each other. that would have nothing to do with Battle Graphics and Battle Graphics submods though. i hope i could help

most important is this:
1. other mods
2. battle graphics
3. battle graphics submods and/or comp. patches
=> if a certain mod loading order/priority has to be used with certain BG comp. patches or BG submods then i usually mention it :)

so if you want to use AGOT + the mods mentioned within this mod's description, then it doesn't matter where you put the AGOT + BG comp. patch as long as you put AGOT first, then battle graphics and after that the comp. patches (either before or after the BG submods).

what would the proper load order be for the submods like this + ZSM along with the AGOT patch? I haven't noticed any issues with the order I'm currently using but I'm wondering if there's a "proper" order
