Employee

Description
We trust you will be a great asset to the Company.

The Employee from Lethal Company clocks in for Extended Workshop’s Horror Jam! Having scavenged all sorts of alien landscapes and survived against hostile wildlife in the name of the Company, Employee brings a highly adaptable setup-based playstyle. While they may start off weak, their playstyle only becomes more and more chaotic as they gain more tools over the course of the fight.

Mechanic: Profit Quota

Employee can sell scrap items collected via their DSpecial to the Company by inputting DSpecial again while a piece of scrap is in their posession. If what you’ve collected is valuable enough, the Company will reward you and promote you in rank! As your rank goes up, you gain extra benefits, such as additional unlockable tools.

In addition, Employee’s equipment has an effect on their weight– which slows them down the heavier it is.

Special Moves

Neutral Special: Terminal Access

Employee accesses their handy ship terminal to browse any items available to them. As your rank goes up, more and more tools are unlocked. Employee can use this move to switch out either their FSpecial, their USpecial, or their melee weapon– which affects certain normals such as their strong attacks and some aerials, and has different weight values as well. The yield sign is slow but powerful, the shovel is fast but weaker, and the stop sign is a middle ground between the two.

Be careful, as you don’t start out with an FSpecial or a USpecial at rank 1– sell and upgrade as soon as you can!

Down Special: Scan / Sell

Employee scans their surroundings, finding a scrap item to put in their inventory if they don’t already have one. The scrap can then either be sold by inputting DSpecial again, or thrown as a projectile. If you’re feeling dangerous, you can also attempt to scan an opponent to increase the value of the scrap you find! Holding onto most scrap adds on to your weight, so keep this in mind.

Scrap comes in two sizes: small and large. Small scrap is thrown faster and further, while large scrap is slower but stronger, and generally sells for more. The projectiles are mostly functionally the same, save for a few special ones– the dramatic masks, the beehive, the easter egg, the DIY flashbang, and a rare secret item.

When selling scrap, the Company will take a bit to retrieve it. While they’re busy, you can find and sell more scrap you may find, potentially increasing your payout! Up to 5 scrap items can be placed on the Company counter at a time. If you’re impatient and want your items to be taken already, you can try hitting the bell on the counter to ring it, but just be careful…

Forward Special 1: Stun Grenades

Employee tosses a flashbang that stuns opponents when it detonates. By holding up or down before throwing it, you can alter the trajectory of its arc. You can also cook it by holding SPECIAL, but be careful– doing so for too long will cause it to explode in your face.

Forward Special 2: Zap Gun

Employee uses a device that first scans an area in front of them– when it detects an opponent, it creates a powerful multihit stream of electricity that keeps opponents in place for a little bit after the final hit.

Up Special 1: Jetpack

Employee uses their jetpack, which can be held to fly around the stage. You are fully actionable after you stop using it. The jetpack has limited fuel– which is consumed faster the more you weigh. By pressing PARRY– or if you run out of fuel while using it, or thrust too much with it, it’ll explode and you won’t be able to use it again until it’s fully recharged.

Up Special 2: Company Cruiser

Employee hops into the Company Cruiser and revs up its engine, before turbo boosting into the air and crashing into the ground. This move can be charged by holding SPECIAL, the more charge you have from revving, the higher your boost will go. While revving the engine, you can also drive back and forth, running over anyone unfortunate enough to get in your way if you're grounded. If you feel like you’re in danger and don’t want to crash, you can press PARRY during the startup or charge window of this move to safely eject from the front seat and go into pratfall.

Other Notable Moves

You can walk during your rapid jab, and while charging either FStrong or UStrong.

DStrong spawns an extension ladder that falls over after a delay, which deals damage on impact when it hits the ground. The more the move is charged, the longer the ladder will extend and the stronger it will be. It can even be used as an impromptu platform!

I play on a controller, and I can only access the first row (shovel, yield sign, stop sign) in the terminal. Does anyone have the same bug as me?
