Description
GENOA (SIMONE BOCCANEGRA)
Unique Trait: Compagna Communis
Merchant Specialists yield their base Gold and Great People Points without being worked. When worked, they contribute toward Great Admirals and the starting Movement of new Settlers and Naval Units.

Unique Building: Fondaco Tower
The Fondaco Tower is the unique Workshop replacement for Genoa under Simone Boccanegra. While still boosting the Production output of the city in which it is built, the Fondaco Tower has a Merchant Specialist slot instead of an Engineer slot. In addition, for each Merchant Specialist worked and unworked in the city with a Fondaco Tower, the range of Sea Trade Routes departing from the city is increased by +5% and +10%, respectively (up to +30%). It is also unlocked at Guilds and requires a Market, unlike the Workshop.

Unique Unit: Pavise Crossbowman
The Pavise Crossbowman is the unique replacement for the Crossbowman for Simone Boccanegra's Genoa. Unlike the Crossbowman, this unit begins with bonus Defensive Strength based on the number of Merchant Specialists either being unworked (+1 Strength each) or worked (+1 Strength per their Gold output) in the city, making it more resistant to attacks. Train Pavise Crossbowmen in your most lucrative trade ports to ensure maximize their ability to defend your territory.

this was fun to play until I found out the Pavise Crossbowmen are bugged. They don't fire, the archers and composite fire with no issues

Civ design is great, but unfortunately the Pavise Crossbowmen are bugged. Attacking doesn't seem to work (I clicked on barbs that were adjacent to my unit and the game wasn't letting me attack, other units could attack tho.)
