Description
DESCRIPTION:
A "mini level" reimagining of the beginning of the second level of Halo 2, Outskirts, in the Halo 3 engine.
(2-Player co-op should work, but 3-4 players might turn into Elites! WORT WORT WORT!)

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
I've been playing around with this project for a couple years now, using it as a "learning" level, as I got familiar with the Halo 3 Editing Kit. Originally, it was the entire level---but it was built with duck tape and hot glue---so I recreated the first area and polished it up with everything I've learned over the last couple of years.

FEATURES:
- Custom/modified weapon sounds
- Custom/modified character textures
- Additional/ported weapons thanks to Hi, Weaver, and several others!
- H2A Master Chief model, thanks to Kashiiera!
- Weapon Bloom for weapons imported from Halo: Reach
- Adjusted health/shield values for enemies and player.
- Halo 5 shield sound effects (it just sounds so nice!)
- Skirmishers! Watch out below!
- New Jackal textures, giving them a mix of their Halo 3 and Halo CE appearances!
- Imported H2 Dialogue
- Custom Voice Overs (by yours truly!)
- Really pretty lights and steam from plasma bombardments.
- More stuff I probably forgot about (ADHD is a jerk!)
- Birbs!

FINISH THE FI---LEVEL?
At this time, I have no plans on completing the rest of the Outskirts level. I'm not saying it's not on the table, but I've got a few other mod projects and teams that I'm working with that have to take priority! If this version gets enough interest, I'll definitely reconsider doing the rest of it!

NEXT PROJECT
I'm working on a Halo 3 Firefight script and I'll probably release a test version using a variation of this level for it (probably set during the morning/day to differentiate them!)

honestly my only real complaint is im not a fan of the weird helmet on the elite majors, but other than that this is so fucking dope.

a really cool level, I really want this to continue because it definitely would be a good mission to do a full remake

Could you please make a Sierra117 firefight. I imagine most people would like to have the Dam area or the river with the other dam... however I would personally ask for the 2nd area after the first tunnel. where you meet the first snipers. its a great little area with 2 sides, where allies and covenant can spawn. Addicted to that area with a friend for 15 years haha.

I enjoyed this remake of outskirts! some fun encounters and ambushes, only thing I'd really want is maybe a version with vanilla weapons just for the sake of it and maybe fix the random npcs that just stand there, theres a few odsts at the back of the map that don't seem to get into the action. well done on adding that bridge the skirmishers and brutes jump down from too.
