Yes but for the sake of being sure i made mine, besides this is a placeholder, it will be removed entirely when rubat will fix the animations for EVERY SINGLE model
Probably Not, however, check the NON-REPLACEABLE list, the models that are not in that list are mod friendly, because only the animations are replaced.

• Combine Monitors (combine_intmonitor001.mdl and combine_intmonitor003.mdl)

For example if you have a custom model for these, it won't replace them, because VALVe baked the animations inside them, unlike the other ones
