Welcome to, DYNAMITE!

Featuring, TUG OF WAR! A new UNIQUE Gamemode for 2024'S SCREAM FORTRESS!



And now, presenting a DARING experience NEVER DONE BEFORE!
FREE ROAM BUILDINGS! Now, THE SKIES ARE THE LIMIT!


Can't jump over buildings? Don't fret!
When activated, make use of the jump pads AND FLY ACROSS THE MAP!


How does this work? Oh, LET ME TELL YOU!

First, capture the CART in order to push it to the opponents base, and now
featuring a brand NEW HUD FORMAT to tell where the CART is set in the map!



Once the fuse is LIT,
Hold the cart at the enemies base all the way to the end,
until the counter reaches 0 TO WIN THE GAME MWAHAHAHAA!!!

For those having problems with the Dynamite Map you can either type "retry" in console or "spectate" and it will let you play the map.

I really like the map but I honestly think it could use more jump spells. I know the drop chance was doubled but I honestly think it could be even higher. On top of that, I would add a jump spell spawn outside of each teams' spawn. And finally I would go as far as to have the jump pads always enabled.

Without the jump spells the center of the map feels cramped. I think it could use passages that connect to the center from the sides, kinda similar to the layout of Sunshine.

From what I played, I think Tug of War is a pretty seamless fit into TF2. Yeah it is basically just KOTH, but I like the gameplay of taking the objective and holding it in the opponent's side of the map without the progress made on the hold resetting. I actually want to see more of this in the future.

That being said, Dynamite's not a great map. In the context of a Scream Fortress map this has very little justification in being one based on the visuals. The buildings being on fire doesn't automatically give the map a Halloween feel. The fiery buildings also work against the gameplay, as I felt like everywhere was the same, which isn't a feeling you want your player to have in a map where the objective is mobile. Also not a fan of the jump pads or the overall sky freedom for the explosive jumping classes.

In short, great gamemode that fits well and I'd love to see more maps for, but the actual map was a poor introduction and wasn't fitting as a Scream Fortress map.

Great map, I really hope we get non-halloween version of tug of war. Such a simple yet fitting gamemode for TF2, much more than whatever the hell Zombies infection is

Hello, I noticed that the intro video for this map does not contain strings in tf_english to be localized into other languages. While checking the "tow_dynamite.res" file, I realized that the strings are in this file instead of tf_english. ZI has an intro video and supports localization

Regarding the version of the map that is in the game, there is a bug that also happens to other players. It is that touching the doors that block the rails causes instakill

Great to see a new gamemode hit the scene as an official map. It'll be sad when Halloween ends and it's gone with multiple other gamemodes.
