Description
Frostbite Tweaks

This mod allows you to tweak the severity of various aspects of the new temperature system for both duplicants and critters.
By default, this mod is configured to reduce frustration while playing Frozen Forest, Rime and Oasisse.

Current latest Version: 1.1.2

Features
The following features of the new system can be adjusted (via mod config)

  • Heat debuff - duplicants no longer get an athletics and stamina debuff when in hot areas
  • Cold debuffs - duplicants no longer get an athletics and stamina debuff when in cold areas
  • Frostbite damage - completely removes frostbite damage for duplicants (disabled by default)
  • Frostbite Threshold - adjust the temperature at which frostbite starts damaging dupes (default -90.15C).
  • Cold sleep interrupt - duplicants no longer wake up in cold areas (disabled by default since it is included in "disable cold debuffs", use it if you only want this part disabled)
  • Logarithmic Athletics debuff scaling - reduces the athletics penalty per point the higher the penalty gets (disabled by default)
  • Old critter temperature detection - critters only check their own temperature for tempeature related behavior (like before the update)
  • Disable critter temperature glum effects - critters no longer get -1 happiness when in uncomfortable temperatures
To adjust these features, have the mod enabled, then click the "Config" button on the mod entry in the mods menu.
Also includes a bugfix for jet suits and lead suits not protecting against hot and cold air.

Bug Reports & Local Download
You can find direct downloads for my mods here[github.com] (please notify me if I forgot to release new versions).

Please post bug reports and issues on GitHub[github.com] or on my Discord Server[discord.gg].
Always include the full player.log in a report: https://github.com/aki-art/ONI-Mods/wiki/How-to-send-a-log

Make sure you do NOT have the mod "Debug Console" enabled as it breaks the game's logging and makes the log useless for fixing bugs!

Thank you! I'm using this to disable frostbite damage so I can play the 100k challenge map from a few years ago, which was made before frostbite damage was a thing. It's working like a charm, thank you so much!

Thanks for the mod. Most of the stuff is just "slowing down early cycles".

@lol at the "rookie" comments, it is just not a great mechanic but it is thematic, that will affect anything post-early game and an additional "chore" to the cycle (just get jackets asap and basic machinery that produce heat and you basicly playing with this mod).

well, I, personally, am super pleased with this, because I *like* my games lazy, easy, and long, so getting rid of the critter's glum and the cold damage is exactly what I needed <3 thanks much!

Or even if you disable everything, there are modded worlds with extreme temperatures, that were not designed with this system in mind and would be unplayable.
