Description
Better Chainsaw script.
Become the king of the apocalypse with this iconic zombie killing weapon!

This script is intended for players who want a more powerful Chainsaw that doesn't require you to hug zombies and runs out of fuel in 30 seconds. Can kill witches without angering them at any non-Realism difficulty. I gave it some large buffs without making it extremely overpowered.


Stat changes (Simple)
*Higher DPS (1000 > 2000)
*Bigger fuel tank (30 > 120)
*More damage resistance (50% > 75%)
*Larger radius
*Longer range

Stat changes (Full)
+Increased damage (100 > 200)
+Increased fuel tank (30 / 30 seconds > 120 / 120 seconds)
+Increased damage resistance while attacking (50% > 75%)
+Increased range (50 > 70)
+Increased cone radius (30 > 60)

Using this mod with https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3347919027 makes it funner. Especially since the lifespan of the chainsaw can last you through the entirely of a campaign (or at least for me), With the mod linked you'd think twice on whether or not you should use the chainsaw even if its pretty fucking good.

how to you repack a VPK file? i kinda just fiddled with it and replaced a folder or file in the thing but idk how to repack

You would have to unpack the VPK and edit the weapon_chainsaw.txt file, look for "clip_size" then change 120 to whatever number you want.

When you're done just repack it and add it back to your addons folder.

I love the radius and range changes as they finally make the chainsaw not dogwater. But the much-extended fuel time combined with damage seems a little on the OP side, I can main the chainsaw with the "Mo' Zombies" script without having to worry about finding another, fresh chainsaw to replace it along the way, it also makes panic events something of a Hold W cakewalk even against specials. I think it would be fairer with around 90 seconds of fuel, anyone have any tips on how one might change it themselves?

The gas is too much (500% too much). Increase it to 200% instead.
