The Once and Future King

Description
I'm back! I had to upload to a new version because of a new computer unfortunately!

This mod seeks to give you the experience of being restoring Britain to strength as the heir to King Arthur. Allows both West Germanic and Celtic (though it definitely favors Celtic) characters to get Excalibur and proclaim themselves the Once and Future King.

Features:
*Artifacts:
Rhongomiant, Excalibur, Caliburn (The Sword in the Stone) are all available to be found. Excalibur is an extremely powerful artifact much better than other artifacts. I rebalanced all of the artifacts to bring their modifiers more in-line with other artifacts.
Send councillors to hunt for the Thirteen Treasures of Britain

*Bloodline:
Bloodline of Mordred and Arthur are both available. Though only Arthur's bloodline is formable. Mordred's bloodline only appears during Mordred's invasion
Bloodlines have been added for your most important knights if they can prove themselves worthy of it!

*Event Chains:
Events for meeting Merlin, reforming the Round Table, facing the Green Knight, and Meeting Morgan
Event chain for finding Excalibur and Caliburn
Event chain for Mordred's return and invasion of your England (occurs in the 900s)
Now on an invasion for the Picts and (anglo-)Saxons too. These are going to hit pretty close together and on "historical" you may all be hit at once!
Spouse interactions and Anniversaries
Search for the Holy Grail: Giant quest line with a multitude of events. Very difficult. Dangerous and over 60 events. This is fixed! Duels work. Recommend combat skill of at least 150. (I recommend a mod that lets Christians join a warrior style society, it's what I play with. OR unrestricted dueling if you want Vanilla only)
Currently adding an event series for more events in courtly life.

*Storyline
I have the start of a King Arthur inspired storyline. Currently the game rules will let trigger a large number of events (currently about 15-20) that will take you down the path of Le Morte de Arthur. You will need to play in the 867 start as Arthur to see these. They can be triggered with a game rule.
Implemented sections:
--Recruiting Pellinore
--Knights joining the court
--Balin the Knight with Two Swords (partial)

*Decisions:
Knight characters!
A new tournament system from HIP. There's no good tournaments on here and I adapted it to a basically vanilla playthrough with some changes. Biggest change is no need to be independent and 3 year cooldown.
Reform Camelot by decision. Multiple requirements for this, but the Great Work is in Winchester. You need to pass a law when you're a king and have 1000 gold.

*Cultural Changes
Briton introduced to the game along with the retinues

*Religion
Opportunity to go back to Celtic Paganism.Simple version of Celtic paganism referenced in the mod events. Not nearly as good as other versions out there. :( However, it felt like a really cruel trap to offer you the chance to become pagan and then it be such garbage. The religion is reformable and has holy sites.

*Minor Titles:
Minor titles with specific bonuses are used to represent the Round Table. With titles, like Gawaine, Merlin, or just a knight
Additionally, the minor titles now come with the legendary weaponry of these figures. They are roughly equivalent to a tier 3 weapon. These weapons are untradeable and disappear if the figure loses their position.
Minor title Tristram for Brittany!

*Ambitions:
Related to tourneys such as become beauty (women) or Champion for men
Also to fall in love

*Great Works:
Camelot Great work has a set of unique upgrades (requires a large sum of money, and to own Excalibur and have the crown law to repair.)
Round Table also has it's own upgrades. (Requires the Crown law to repair.)

*New Characters:
Arthur, Guenevere, and Kay reborn in the 867 start, along with their family history and Guenevere's family in Wales. Mordred attacks in the 900s. Find them in Cornwall. Alternate, but familiar names were used based off potential historical or alternate spellings
Mark and Isolde are added into the history with Mark added as the King of Brittany. (The location of the famous Broceliande forest and where Tristam marries Iseult of the White Hands)

*New Tactics:
Currently specific to King Arthur only. But I'm considering making a few more artifact specific or character specific tactics.

The artifacts and bloodline in this, being based of a mythical character, are powerful. They're comparable to the best of the best in vanilla. They tend to stack. I play a very modded game (see the collection).

This mod is unabashedly heavily borrowing from really great other mods that have scratched the itch of Arthurian lore in the CK2 setting. A perfect match, honestly. All of these seem to be no longer updating, but they're listed below. If any of the mod authors have an issue with this mod, it will be removed from the Steam workshop.

Arthurian Legacy
Legacy of King Arthur
Twilight of the Gods
Knights and Squires Beta
Soulmates

Historic Immersion Project since I have ported in their tournament system with changes.
AGoT for some trait icons.

Planned Updates:
A small chain quest for knights (not round table knights) where they are requested to deal with a problem personally. (Vs. Bear, Vs. other animals, Vs. Giant, Vs. Knight)
Honor Duel at Court: This is going to be a minor slight and a challenge to a duel
A Court of Romance, Courtly Love update, Maybe too ambitious for my motivation.

DLC Requirements:
Monks and Mystics, Conclave is used for some laws

Mod Compatibility:
It has gotten quite large, so the mod is incompatible to a degree with mods that change province histories. It will still function, but no Great Works or natural occurring Briton Culture.
Knight and Squires

Legacy of King Arthur
Twilight of the Gods

@Drake He's there. He's the duke of Cornwall. Actually owns Devon. If you can't find him, I would recommend turning off all of your other mods and then adding them back one at a time or searching the history files of the mods as you probably have a mod overwriting the history files.

I did select 867 start date, but I still couldn't find him.

@Drake He's only available at the 867 start date.

@Phalanx6797 Awesome! Let me know what you think. I like hearing what people have to say about it. I'm working on some storyline events for a big update. I will probably publish it pretty soon to just leave what I have up there though it's far from done. I'm hoping to do a whole life of King Arthur storyline, sort of like a better version of the Charlemagne events.

@Eagle Thank you for the response, and it worked the third time luckily, thanks for posting the ID regardless!

@nicolino (Continued)

Good idea about the last point. It should 100% be a feature. I will have to make a targetted decision for it, but I will work on it. I think it should be for the king/emperor and the children if they have a certain martial, combat prowess and bravery. Shield maiden for daughters. I want to make a way to get shield maiden on daughters more easily too.

@nicolino2 Hey,thanks for playing through! I appreciate it. Grand tournaments are from HIP and they only work for Nomads, Muslims, and Christians. Celtic Pagans are sort of an easter egg. I needed Celtic Pagan to exist for certain characters to seem right (to me). So, most of the issues related to it are not a big concern for me as long as it works right in a basic sense.

I found the event spam from the Green Knight annoying as well at times. I pulled it from an old mod that hasn't been updated since much earlier in CK2's lifespan. I added the ability to permanently kill the Green Knight with Morgan, and to do so you have to trigger it through Morgan. The event chain probably could be improved, but I am really considering a whole rewrite of the event.
