Description
NOTICE: currently bugged and will not work without a tr_vertshot.cfg file. Details about the tr_vertshot.cfg file are included at the end of this description.

Did you know mouse sensitivity alters at extreme vertical angles?

After cs:go was shadow realmed, and all its aim trainers with it, I made TR_VERTSHOT for personal use. It spawns in static targets at a variety of horizontal and vertical angles. Shoot them down to keep the timer running and survive as long as possible!

Included are infinite ammo, no-recoil, and ADS toggle options.

About the ADS toggle

To enable ADS toggle, navigate to the scriptdata directory (<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\scriptdata) and create a file named "tr_vertshot.cfg".

You may populate this file with up to six comma-separated lines with the following format:
<Name of ADS toggle>,<FOV of ADS toggle>,<mouse sensitivity of ADS toggle>

Example file contents:
apex 1x Zoom, 77.14284, 0.797473
apex Rifle Zoom, 70.71427, 0.709538
ow Ashe Zoom, 51.774009, 0.485318
apex 2x Zoom, 49.616585, 0.462241

You may then shoot the zoom buttons on the back wall to activate the toggle. Once activated, your mouse2 button will be rebound to Aim Down Sights. The targets will also move further (or closer) depending on the FOV.

Un-ADS'ing will restore your FOV and sensitivity to whatever values you entered the map with. To specify different hipfire values, set sensitivity and fov_desired via the console and then activate the "Skip Cooldown/Restart" button.

If you use a zoom toggle, you will have to manually reset your mouse2 keybinding afterwards.

The FOV units are the same as in the base game - measured horizontally and assuming a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor.
To match zoom level and mouse sensitivity accurately between games, consult your favorite 3rd party website. I prefer https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/ (no affiliation, use at your own risk).

Update August 26th, 2024 - Added new "walking" spawn mode (targets spawn up and down in a sweeping motion). Old spawn mode (targets spawn near the last destroyed target) available as a button on the back wall.

Also removed "bullseye" time extension. It was intended to reward center hits to encourage striking targets near their centers, but in practice it just meant if you weren't hitting consistently then the session ended prematurely.

Update April 19th, 2024 - Added back wall and ceiling for better target visibility,
added zoom toggle settings, enabling ADS and sens matching from other games.
