Description
Summary:
This mod adds targeted decisions which allow bulk management of prisoners. This is especially useful when you acquire large numbers of prisoners from sieges.

Specifically:
  • AI and players can choose an automatic destination for all newly-acquired prisoners (house arrest, dungeon or oubliette), via self-targeted decision
    • (Yes, this means that you might find yourself in the oubliette if you're imprisoned by the AI!)
    • Update 6/9/24: This automatic destination will now be inherited by your successor.
  • Players can move all of their prisoners to one location (house arrest, dungeon or oubliette), via self-targeted decision
  • Targeted decisions on other landed characters allow players to perform various actions on all prisoners who belong in that character's court:
    • Move all prisoners from that character to a different location (house arrest, dungeon or oubliette)
    • Execute or release a single prisoner from that liege; or all prisoners from that liege; or all prisoners from that liege who are in a certain location
    • Ransom all possible prisoners from that liege; or all possible prisoners from that liege who are in a certain location
      • (Prisoners will be ransomed in the order of their liege's preference - eg. children before random courtiers - until their liege runs out of money.)
    • If any of the prisoners being released/ransomed/executed is particularly rich, or has an artifact, this info is included in the list.
      • (Because you might want to find some method to acquire the money/artifact...)

Compatibility/Impact:
The aim of the "Expanded Decisions" mod family is to be as compatible as possible with vanilla CK2 (and other mods), and to avoid making the game easier.
  • Required CK2 version: 3.3.5.1
  • Achievement compatible: No
  • Safe to add to existing game: Yes
  • Safe to remove from existing game: Yes
  • Changes to vanilla files: None
  • Mod compatibility: Should be compatible with all other mods
  • Changes to AI behaviour: Minor (default imprisonment location)
  • Decrease in game difficulty: Negligible
  • Localisation: English only
  • Mod development status: Mostly complete, but with some known cosmetic issues
    • Known issue: Sometimes, prisoners that will be affected by a targeted-liege action are listed twice or three times. But they are only ransomed/executed/released once!

Other Versions / Alternate Download / Reuse:
  • All of my CK2 mods are version-controlled via a Github repository[github.com] (eg. if you want earlier/beta versions of any of my mods).
  • I also publish a zip version[github.com] of this mod on Github.
  • All of my mods are published on Github under the MIT license, and I'm following the same logic here on the workshop. Essentially, you're welcome to reuse my mods in any way you wish as long as you provide attribution (eg. credit and/or a link).

Good idea! I recently did a bloodthirsty gods run, and was sorely missing a mass-sacrifice button, so I think I'll work on getting both that and mass-banishment into the next version.

As a nomad with ~732 prisoners, all of which have no home anymore, thank you for giving me a hasty way to let them perish in the ol' hole in the ground.. If I may ask, would it be possible to add a 'Mass Banish' button for your own court? Wonderful mod regardless.
