No problem the naming. Names are like that. If you changed it those of use so far entertained by it would be disoriented without a compass.
Hey, you did change it to The Bay. I hear a hound baying in the distance.
Anyway, after deleting cache and completely resubscribing to my chosen mods in the start up of the game you map is not present.
So, I exited now for the third time without playing today and looked in the civ4 folder in my games to see your map file is named small continents, which is a name for the map of the same name that i recall is a part of the original set of generic maps that came with the game way back when. So i guess yours is a mod based on that. Anyway again i copy pasted your game map to the map folder and will see if that works. if not then i will play skyrim or fallout 3 I guess.

There is among the map that are apparently generic with the game a map by the name of Inland Sea where the land masses hug the sides of the screen and in the middle in an "inland sea". I made a mistake. I chose that one think that in your map file you had actually spelled inland correctly instead of the now famous misspelling, inlaid. ha ha ha ha ha. i am glad you replied.
But, life being like it is when resubscribing and verifying the subscription as we do as the game starts by using the little check box, the inlaid map is not there. I have just exited and done the cache delete fix to see if that will load it. I checked and your folder is in the my games folder for civ5 and it contains two files, the map and the other usual mod file. So, I will try again. Sorry for being stupid, ha ha.

thanks, that'd help a lot. I really want to make this map as good as it can be, so that others can enjoy my ideas

when playing (one or two days ago) within the first 20-30 moves I came up against the end or edge of the map (West) as when one plays a map that has fixed limits on every side or has not seas whatsoever. My civ founded its first city and exploration nearby found me going to the edge of the map and unable to go no more in that direction, when trying to go left as it was, to the West. I do not know where in the larger map I was at the time, but the pic in your Description shows land masses harboring the famous inland sea called the Inlaid Sea. It was odd and frustrating because in all the mod maps I prefer my preference is for global maps bordered by seas so that I can sail around the world if I wish or need to .
Tell you what. I will resubscribe and play the map again. When I hit the edge of the map I will try to take screen shot and post that if I can.

Firstly, dandy fresh is just a thing I say a lot, it is a compliment though.
Secondly, can you be more specific in your complaint, because to me it sounds like you find yourself unable to circumnavigate past the edges of the map. I have played the map however, and am able to do just that. If i am misreading your complaint, i am sorry, and will work to fix whatever your real complaint is, granted you can provide better explaination. If however, I correctly read your problem, I believe that it is in fact your own mistake, as we have seen truly how prone you are to them. anyways, i hope you reconsider your choice to unsubscribe, or at least wait for me to come out with some other maps that may spark your intrest.

First, Shits, what is it that one should take to heart from the phrase "truly dandy fresh"? A quick google tells me it has something to do with fresh water pearls, which is nice. But taken directly it tends to defy definition. I like definition. Aristotle liked definition. I like Aristotle, therefore I like definition.
Seriously though, I have an interjection of my own to offer: Argh. I just started my first game with your mod. It is screen-limited. It does not circumnavigate. I cannot go to the East and eventually arrive at the West and vice-versa. No. No. No. I will never use a map that is not a map that is open and enables a player to move from the edge of any land mass and navigate across the seas to the other side. Evidently the game will not permit pole to pole navigation but it does permit East to West--West to East. Bye. Unsubscribe.

You my friend, are truly dandy fresh

ah, no, I am the stupid one, you meant to write "inland sea". OK. Still, it is inland rather than inlaid, unless you actually meant to coin a new word like some of the famous poets often did. Ezra Pound, if I recall correctly, would use "tho" for though and "enuf" for enough. You could, you know, call it the "Inlaid Sea", since every "sea" does get to be named by the voyager who discovers it for the world civilization.
So, presenting the "Inlaid Sea": the inland sea mod of Shits McGiggles! That works I think. Good day mate.
