Description
She's meant to be a "cartoon"-y version of Rochelle, but I feel she's a bit too different to warrant being straight up called Rochelle, so I'll just name her Roe. I was also going to leave this as friends only, but someone might like it, so here you all go. This was born out of my desire to create an anime-style survivor that actually looks like they make sense in the locale. So no flashy clothes or super short skirts.

Features:
  • Less than 11k vertices; for comparison, default Rochelle is about 8k (which means it shouldn't cause problems w/ 5+ survivor games or if you use it with other survivor replacements that are very highly detailed)
  • Facial Expressions
  • Eye Tracking
  • Viewmodel Arms
  • HUD/UI Images
  • Jigglebones in Hair (and nowhere else)
  • Rochelle Animations (this does have to be said since so many survivor mods out there change a survivor's animations)

This is the first survivor mod I have ever made, so it's not the prettiest, but I'm not going back to fix or change anything because I want to move on.

One area for improvement is definitely the facial expressions. I got far into porting this model before I realized I had no easy way of face posing her in Blender. The model had no face bones; only basic shape keys came with it. So I had to make do with what I had and use & mix the default shape keys to make the valve expressions as much as possible. A few aren't even close. But I did not want to manually position each vertex to face pose every single expression or make my own bones for the face. By that point, I had used too much time working on this.

Notes:
  • There are rare moments where the finger posing isn't the greatest (both for the world & viewmodel).
  • Her teeth sometimes look sharp. Just a side effect of the bad face posing that I can't really fix (easily).
  • There is a small pyramid on her shirt that I put there that, due to the shading, can really only be seen from a very specific angle. It was a primitive solution to fix her leg slightly sticking out in that spot on almost every animation she has. Some of the pictures I used are actually from before I did this, so you can see exactly what I hid.
  • You're all free to take the mod, change it, and reupload it if you wish. I just ask that you credit me in some way (if you use this exact, ported model. This was not easy to do).

Thanks to MrFunreal's custom survivor tutorial: https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2225904754 . Without it, I would have never been able to do this. It was still incredibly difficult, especially since there were a few steps where I needed to do something completely different from what it said to do which took hours to troubleshoot, but still, it got me further than I would have ever gotten alone (which would have been not far and also would have been a lost cause).

As one of the only Vroid mods uploaded to the Left 4 Dead 2 workshop, I seriously commend your work! Very nice model!

Considering that I'm eventually making a Vroid Studio porting guide for this game as well, just know I might try to reach out to you if I get stuck in the process too lol
