A small escort carrier made by Triton Thunder Ship industries, built from the hull and chassis of the Phalanx Class Frigate, CFR engineers uh laughed hard at it.

Triton Republic was in dire need of carriers to counter the Solar Empire fleet, the CFR an ally of Triton Republic offered the Boudicca Class and Zenobia Class Escort Carriers... Triton Republic however had other thoughts and told the CFR defense representatives to sell them 15 Phalanx Class Frigate and then told them to hold their beers....so just like that the Ella Class was born ! This escort carrier although carries fighters does have quite the industrial capacity and can be used as small scale industrial ship during peace time.

During war time the Ella would use it's jump drives to go to remote areas and then dispatch fighters to attack enemy asteroid bases or lunar bases or even attack some targets on a planet, usually in quick hit and run attacks.

Needless to say the Ella Class was the basis for the Freda Class and the Freya Class, who had longer decks and different fronts and towers, and subsequently more fighters.
