More Canned Food! [FU Version]

Description
This is a FU-dependant version of More Canned Food! mod. You don't need original mod for this one to work. Using both will break your game.

What's different:
- Recipes are unlocked through the Research System instead of unlock-by-pick-up.
- Recipe for canning machine also includes 1 silicon board and 3 copper wires.
- Canned foods use Diet System.


About
More Canned Food adds 37 variants of canned food: 30 are from basic products such as carrots, tomatoes, meat etc, and 7 are dishes such as stews. Each variant provides its own bonus effects, based on the closest dishes that can be made from that product.

Food values are balanced in a way to utulize canned food as your extra food supplies for scenarios when you don't have access to additional food (mostly underground exploration), rather than being your main source of food. This is also why they're stackable and non-spoilable.

This mod also reduces vanilla canned food food value from 50 to 35 so it doesn't outperform other products.


How to obtain
To unlock all the recipes from this mod, you have to research Canned Food node (unlocked after researching Culinary Arts node) in the Craftsmanship tree.

To start, you have to make a canning machine at lvl 2 Inventor's Table (Engineer's Table). The recipe is: 3 tungsten bars, 1 silver bar, 1 silicon board, 3 copper wires and 1 glass.

Next you have to make some tin cans from tungsten bars on a lvl 2 Furnace (Industrial Furnace). These are (obviously) involved in making canned food. Recipe for canned food is: 1 product, 1 liquid and 1 tin can.

  • Products: Alien Fruit, Automato, Avesmingo, Beakseed, Boneboo, Carrot, Chilli, Coralcreep, Corn, Currentcorn, Diodia, Dirturchin, Eggshoot, Feathercrown, Grapes, Kiwi, Mushroom, Neonmelon, Oculemon, Pearlpeas, Pineapple, Pussplum, Raw Fish, Raw Poultry, Raw Steak, Raw Tentacle, Reefpod, Tomato, Toxictop, Wartweed.
  • Dishes: Automato Stew, Fish Stew, Meat Stew, Oculemon Stew, Wartweed Stew, Carrot Soup, Tomato Soup.

I was an idiot. Food stacking mod uses fridge to average out multiple stacks and then merge them. Another mod I used back in the day worked differently so I assumed same mechanism.

Just checked all the stuff, that isn't related to this mod, because its food items intentionally omit parameters for rotting coefficient and script, resulting in foods never spoiling. Plus i checked modified FU's buildfood.lua, which only fixes spoil time when rotting coefficient isn't present, BUT rotting script is

@doomspike Are you sure about the expiration? The food from this mod does not add rotting.lua so it shouldn't expire.
In fact I made a mod myself to add the expiration and other customization, maybe you have that mod installed

Canned food has expiration. A very long one like 140 hours. And it doesn't stack. I have "Food Stacks" only as food mod and FU. I think?

If anyone needs it, the instant crafing patch milimili was talking about is InstantCrafting EXPANDED and it includes this mod and some others.
