Cities in GTA-SA
There are 3 cities in GrandTheftAuto - SanAndreas

Los Santos
Los Santos is the largest city, both by population and area in San Andreas. It is based on Los Angeles, California. It is filled with references to famous L.A. landmarks, including the Hollywood Sign, the Watts Towers, the Capitol Tower, the U.S. Bank Tower and the Santa Monica Pier, among many others. It borders Red County to the north and Flint County to the west. Los Santos also includes several districts that resemble cities in Los Angeles County, California, such as Santa Maria (Santa Monica), Rodeo (Beverly Hills), East Beach (Long Beach), Ganton (Compton), Idlewood (Inglewood) and Vinewood (Hollywood).

San Fierro
San Fierro is the smallest city in area and the second largest in population in San Andreas, situated on a peninsula in the western portion of the state. It is based on the city of San Francisco, California, with the additional references of two Firth of Forth bridges in Scotland, the Forth Bridge and the Forth Road Bridge, the latter being made to also resemble the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge in both design and physical location. South of San Fierro lies the massive Mount Chiliad and the little town of Angel Pine in Whetstone. North of the city, across the Gant Bridge (San Fierro's version of the Golden Gate Bridge), lays the small town of Bayside.

Las Venturas
Las Venturas is a city based on Las Vegas, Nevada. It is the second largest city in area and smallest in population in San Andreas, and like its counterpart, Las Venturas is located in a desert region and hosts legalized gambling, sporting casinos such as The Camel's Toe and Caligula's Palace.

The city is also notable for its freeway system. The Julius Thruway is a freeway that circles the whole city. Freeways from both Los Santos and San Fierro intersect with it. Another major road is the Harry Gold Parkway, which runs through the middle of the city and intersects twice with the Julius Thruway and then leads to Los Santos (though it is not called the Harry Gold Parkway once it leaves the city).

Charakters (Major Charakters)

Sweet Johnson
Voice Actor: Faizon Love[en.wikipedia.org]
Sweet is the older brother of Carl and the leader of the Grove Street Families. Sweet was originally supposed to die in a drive-by shooting arranged by the Ballas, which missed and killed their mother Beverly instead, prompting Carl’s return home. In Carl’s absence, Sweet’s hold over the gang has started to decline due to rival gangs manufacturing and selling drugs. He first doesn’t trust Carl on his return but grows to believe they want the same thing, to help the Grove Street Families.

Big Smoke
Voice Actor: Clifton Powell[en.wikipedia.org]
Big Smoke is a high-ranking and much-loved member of the Grove Street Families but ends up betraying them. He becomes a powerful figure in the criminal underworld of Los Santos after joining the Ballas, disbanding the Grove Street Families and making deals with the Los Santos Vagos and Russian Mafia.

Ryder
Voice Actor: MC Eiht[wikipedia.org]
Ryder is a high-ranking member of the Grove Street Families. Himself and Carl go on various robbery tasks throughout the events of the game, mostly for weapons. Ryder later betrays Grove Street in favour of the corrupt C.R.A.S.H, the Ballas and the Los Santos Vagos.

Frank Tenpenny
Voice Actor: Samuel L. Jackson[en.wikipedia.org]
Tenpenny is an officer of Los Santos Police Department (LSPD) and also a member of C.R.A.S.H (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums), a corrupt unit. Tenpenny used his power over Carl by bribing him into doing work for him or he’ll risk being arrested for a crime he didn’t commit. Over the course of the game, Tenpenny tasks Carl with missions such as killing FBI witnesses to C.R.A.S.H crimes, obtaining a FBI dossier and planting tainted evidence.

Eddie Pulaski
Voice Actor: Chris Penn[wikipedia.org]
Eddie Pulaski is a police officer at the Los Santos Police Department and also part of the corrupt C.R.A.S.H alongside Frank Tenpenny. Alongside Tenpenny and Jimmy Hernandez, Pulaski is a constant thorn in Carl’s side, tasking him with dubious missions.

Cesar Vialpando
Voice Actor: Clifton Collins Jr.[wikipedia.org]
Cesar is the partner of Carl’s sister Kendl and also the leader of El Corona based gang Varrios Los Aztecas. Cesar and Carl become very close allies throughout the game. He first meets Carl at a lowrider competition and they form a strong friendship. Cesar helps Carl get revenge on those who have crossed them when they are exiled to San Fierro.

Catalina
Voice Actor: Cynthia Farrell[gta.fandom.com]
Catalina is Cesar's cousin and teamed up with Carl to complete various different criminal tasks. Catalina and Carl become romantically involved, albeit more on Catalina’s side than Carl. After Catalina and Carl part ways, she still calls him every so often to taunt him about her new relationship with Claude.

The Truth
Voice Actor: Peter Fonda[wikipedia.org]
The Truth is an elderly hippie who lives out in the middle of nowhere in Flint County. He becomes friends with Carl while he is exiled to the Badlands. Carl helps The Truth destroy his farm’s crops after the police find out it's a cannabis farm. The Truth later needs Carl's help in obtaining a jetpack from Area 69 in Las Venturas.

Mike Toreno
Voice Actor: James Woods[wikipedia.org]
Toreno is an undercover agent who works for an unknown government agency. Toreno becomes an ally of Carl’s after he becomes involved in the drugs trade. Toreno and Carl have a few run-ins but despite this, Carl still carries out a few government-related tasks. Toreno is also a member of the Loco Syndicate, a business venture between several criminals, dealing with drugs.

Weapons (Hand)
Weapons in this slot allow you to attack and block

Fist

No weapon. Just the good ol' clenched fist, various combinations of punches and kicks.

Brass Knuckles

The brass knuckles do not occupy a weapon slot only upgrading the "unarmed" slot. They provide more damage when fighting unarmed Especially useful when fighting Gym Trainers.
Weapons (Melee)
Just like the "Hand" slot, Melee Weapons allow you to attack and block

Baseball Bat

A classic sports item widely used to smack burglars, home-invaders and rivals. Swing as fast as you can and make sure you aim for the head!

Chainsaw

Although being the heaviest melee weapon, the Chainsaw makes up for it by being incredibly badass. A mass-murdering weapon, you'll be sure to inflict terror on the pedestrians on the street.

Golf Club

Another sports item that has wide usage in the violence department. Less effective than the Pool Cue, but it does its job well enough.

Katana

A quick and nimble sword, pressing the attack button rapidly will unleash a variety of combos. Cut up your enemies, random pedestrians, or even your friends... it doesn't really matter.

Knife

Based on: SOG SEAL Pup[en.wikipedia.org]
The Knife is a great weapon for stealthy face-to-face combat. CJ can stab enemies in the neck from behind to kill them without being noticed and without producing sound. Also increases damage in normal combat.

Nightstick

Based on: Monadnock PR-24 Control Device Baton[en.wikipedia.org] The Nightstick is lighter and smaller than the Baseball Bat, allowing for faster strikes and faster movement, while having almost the same effectiveness in close fights.

Pool Cue

The Pool Cue is the longest melee weapon out of all, having the longest reach. Smack enemies from far away, without getting hit. Can also be used for what it was actually built for, playing pool.

Shovel

The shovel sadly cannot be used for gardening, its sole purpose in the game being as a weapon. Its effectiveness is great, as the shovel does a lot of damage to foes.
Weapons (Handguns)

Pistol (9mm)

Based on: Colt M1911A1[wikipedia.org]
The Pistol is the most basic weapon in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Rapid fire rate and light weight make for a versatile weapom.

Silenced Pistol (9mm)

Based on: Colt M1911A1 (with supressor)[wikipedia.org]
The same gun as the Pistol, but suppressed. A stealthy weapon, allowing for un-noticed kills.

Desert Eagle

Based on: IMI Desert Eagle[wikipedia.org]
An extremely powerful handgun, the Desert Eagle provides strong fire power, but also great recoil. Increasing the skill level of the weapon will help with its disadvantages, allowing for deadly shots even from very far away.
Weapons (Shotguns)

Shotgun

Based on: Wooden Ithaca 37[en.wikipedia.org]
The pump-action shotgun is a typical close-range weapon found widely across San Andreas. Its accuracy drops heavily farther than medium range, but increased skill levels allows strafing and shooting while moving.

Sawn-Off Shotgun

Based on: Colt Model 1883 Hammerless Shotgun[en.wikipedia.org]
The small size of the sawn-off shotgun allows running and gunning. A lenghty reload follows an extremely strong burst of bullets, so make sure to make your shot count!

Combat Shotgun

Based on: Franchi SPAS-12[wikipedia.org]
The semi-automatic Combat Shotgun's fire power is only slightly higher than that of the usual shotgun, but its relatively quick fire rate allows plowing through enemies quite easily.
Weapons (Machine Pistols)
The Tec-9 and Micro SMG share the same Weapon Skill, grouped under the "Machine Pistol" category.

Micro SMG

Based on: Uzi Pistol (Micro Uzi)[en.wikipedia.org]
This Micro Uzi packs a punch. An insane rate of fire assures that you'll plow through everyone coming up your way. Make sure to have a lot of ammunition stored so you don't run out.

SMG

Based on: MP5A3[en.wikipedia.org]
Based on the amazing MP5, which is widely considered one of the best Sub Machine Guns. the MP5 packs an impressive fire rate with great accuracy and strenght.

Tec-9

Based on: TEC-9[en.wikipedia.org]
Having a very fast rate of fire and very small dimensions, the Tec-9 is widely appreciated on the streets of Los Santos.
Weapons (Assault Rifles)

AK-47

Based on: Norinco Type 56[en.wikipedia.org]
The AK 47 is an extremely popular Assault Rifle because of its cheap design and incredible reliability. A strong fire rate, good accuracy and great range make for a very powerful weapon.

M4

Based on: Colt Model 733[en.wikipedia.org]
The M4 is a military-grade weapon, with impressive fire rate, a spacy magazine and amazing accuracy, being able to target gas tanks. It is sure to plow through your foes.
Weapons (Rifles)
The Rifles have no upgrade ability and no auto-targeting feature.

Rifle (Country Rifle)

Based on: Marlin Model 336[wikipedia.org]
A basic level-action rifle found usually in the hands of hunters, the Rifle does not invoke an auto-target reticle, skipping directly to a free-aim mode. It has great damage but really slow reload speed, so it might prove very hard to use.

Sniper Rifle

Based on: Remington Model 700[wikipedia.org]
The Sniper Rifle holds a scope that turns every shot into a deadly bolt, being capable of one-shotting unsuspecting enemies. Its reload speed is a bit slower than the ordinary Rifle, but the wait is for sure worth it.
Weapons (Heavy)
Heavy Artillery Weapons have no upgrade ability, and you cannot crouch while you use them.

Flamethrower

The flame thrower is an extremely fun weapon (for a psycopath), being able to set almost everything around on fire - from people and vehicles to trees and buildings. Make sure to not get any fire spreading towards you while murdering everyone around - you still deserve to live.

Minigun

A player's best friend, the Minigun is sure to bring terror to the streets of San Andreas. Although extremely heavy, CJ is strong enough to hold the Minigun and shoot it. Capable of destroying vehicles in mere seconds, its power should not be underestimated.

RPG (Rocket Launcher)

Based on: RPG-7[wikipedia.org]
The Rocket Launcher is a classic Heavy Weapon in Grand Theft Auto games. Shoulder-held, the RPG is capable of destroying groups of vehicles with a single shot, although some, like tanks, take a few more. Not intended for use in close-quarter combat, as its explosive power is extremely strong and will hurt the player.

Heat-Seeking Rocket Launcher

Based on: SA-7 Grail[wikipedia.org]
Lightweight and portable, this shoulder-fired guided missile system locks onto flying vehicles in a short period of time and fires a quick missile that follows its target. Like the RPG, but better - now you don't even have to aim!
Weapon (Thrown Weapons)
Thrown Weapons have no upgrade ability and no-auto targeting. The distance that these projectiles are thrown depends on how long you hold the Circle button.

Grenade

Based on: M67 Grenade[wikipedia.org]
Grenades are extremely effective weapons to blow up vehicles and to kill enemies in cover. Make sure to not be next to one that's about to explode, otherwise, have fun!

Molotov Cocktail

Throw a molotov cocktail against a wall to set the surroundings on fire. This versatile weapon can be used to control areas from enemies, or just to burn everyone down. So many uses for such a simple piece of "technology"

Remote Explosives (Satchel Charges)

Sticky bombs, used for booby traps or just for wreaking havoc. Set up some satchel charges on the ground, then conveniently blow them up from somewhere safe. When placed, it gives the player a Detonator that can be activated to detonate said charges.

Tear Gas

Tear Gas is generally used to stop enemies on their tracks, as they begin coughing when contacting the gas. Prolonged exposure to the aerosols leads to death, so this weapon is very versatile.
Weapons (Handheld)

Fire Extinguisher

With so many weapons that can set the enviroonment on fire, it's only natural to have a tool that can extuingish them. Used primarily for escaping out of flaming buildings, but also if you want to play firefighter.

Spray Can

Used primarily for painting Gang Tags, but can also be used as a defense weapon, like a weaker Tear Gas. Will intoxicate enemies directly ahead of you, and will also paint them nicely!

Camera

The camera is used for... well, for taking photographs. A classic camera which can be found easily around town. The camera allows you to save pictures to a gallery that you can view via the menu.
Weapons (Gifts)

Cane

For some reason, the cane is classified as a gift, although it cannot actually be gifted to anyone. It's useful as a melee weapon and also looks very, very cool!

Flowers

Flowers can be given as gifts to girlfriends in game, but can also comically be used to slap enemies with. They do little damage, but that's not a downside... you can slap enemies for longer until they die.

Dildo

The dildo is a great gift for a first date, and can also be comically used to slap enemies with.

Vibrator

The vibrator has decent weapon capabilities but is also quite effective when being used as a gift.

Weapons (Apparel Items)
This category doesn't include weapons, but more like equipment items.

Thermal Googles
The Thermal Goggles turn the environment into shades of blue, green red, and purple, representing heat. After equipping them, another weapon can be used to aid in combat

Night Vision Googles
Night Vision Goggles amplify dim light, allowing use in very dark environments. After equipping, the player can switch to a weapon.

Parachute
The parachute is an absolute necessity when attempting to jump off tall buildings and bridges, or from planes. You really wouldn't want to turn into a soup...

Remote Detonator

Detonators are received when placing Satchel Charges. You can press circle to detonate the bombs, after which the Detonator will be removed from your inventory.

Stunt Jumps (Los Santos #1)

Idlewood Jump

Head to the gym and clothing store near CJ's house. Take the road south from here. Follow the road until you reach the bridge. Here you can use the rounded pillar as a ramp. You must land at the crossroads to complete the jump.

El Corona Jump

Go to the tattoo parlor in El Corona. Follow the road north until you reach some cargo containers. Make a left onto the train tracks when you see a set of stairs facing you. Here, make another left and drive towards the fence next to the train tracks. The jump should be directly in front of you. You must land on the roof of the rail platform to complete the jump.

Ocean Dock Jump 1

Head to the bridge on the easternmost side of the Ocean Docks county. The bridge can be identified by the green support pillars it has. On the right side of the bridge is a pile of dirt enclosed on two sides by a wooden fence. The dirt can be used as a ramp, and to complete the jump, you must clear the freeway and land on the warehouse roof.

Ocean Dock Jump 2

Go to the bridge that is closest to the Los Santos International Airport. From here, find the orange cranes that face the water. Drive toward the cranes, and down a stairway. This stairway with cargo containers directly to the left will act as your ramp. You must land on the road to complete the jump.

Ocean Dock Jump 3

From the previous Stunt Jump, simply find the stairway on the opposite side. It counts as a separate Stunt Jump, but you still land on the road.

Ocean Dock Jump 4

Cross the bridge closest to the Los Santos International Airport to the side with the docks. Follow the road until you see the second yellow concrete divider on the side of the road. Pass it and immediately make a left. There should be a stairway on the far right, and a wooden ramp to the left of that. Use the wooden ramp to land on top of the metal structure.

Ocean Dock Jump 5

Go to the Cluckin' Bell in Willowfield and head south on the road from there. Before the road ends on the left, you should see an entrance to a warehouse. Drive into the facility, until you see a large oil tanker with a stairway attached to it. The stairway can be used as a ramp, and you must land between the concrete blocks to complete the jump.

Los Santos International Airport Jump 1

Go to the tunnel entrance closer to the east side of the map. You can tell this is the right tunnel if you see a billboard with "BoBo" written on it. Just before you enter the tunnel, you will see a small ramp in the middle of the street that can be used for the jump.

Los Santos International Airport Jump 2

Go to the runway for this jump. Head to the far southeast corner of the runway. You will know you are in the right spot when you position your player between the big white bubbles that face toward the runway on the corner of the runway on the minimap. Here there is a set of stairs on wheels that can be used as the ramp. Land on the other side of the fence to complete the jump.

Los Santos International Airport Jump 3

Go back to the runway. On the map, you can see three patches of grass. On the middle patch of grass, you will see a yellow sign on the ground that is slightly raised. This is your ramp. Land on the other side of the red sign to complete the jump.
Stunt Jumps (Los Santos #2)

East Beach Jump 1

Go to the Los Santos Forum and head east along the road. Follow the road until you reach a wooden walkway, then head north until you hit the overpass on the freeway. Turn left, and you will see a stairway that can be used as a ramp. Reach the patch of grass on the other side to complete the jump.

East Beach Jump 2

Go back to the Los Santos Forum, this time heading north along the road. Follow the road until you reach an apartment building that is near the bridge with "The Golden Palms" written on it. Go over to the walkway, and you should see a streetlight with a hole in the wall next to it. The hole in the wall is the ramp, and you must land on the freeway to complete the jump.

How to earn Sexappeal?
Players can increase their character's sex appeal by wearing expensive clothes, getting a nice haircut and adorning their bodies with tattoos.

Clothes

Go to Didier Sachs, which is in Rodeo, Los Santos.

Item
Amount of Sexappeal
Shirts:
  • Tuxedo
  • Tweed
  • red jacket
  • yellow jacket
  • blue jacket.
add 25 points to your sex appeal

Of the shirts, these have the highest sex appeal in the game. Note that the green jacket and letterman top are not as appealing.
Pants:
any except for the green pants
add 10 points to your sex appeal
  • Shoes
  • a chain
  • a watch
  • pair of shades
All together adding another 12 points to your appeal

Travel to the clothing store Victim in San Fierro, Downtown.

Item
Amount of Sexappeal
  • Red Beret or Black Beret
A red or black beret, the sexiest hats in the game at three sex appeal points.

Go to Gay Gordo's and get a Groove Cut.

Item
Amount of Sexappeal
Groove Cut
Get a Groove Cut. This adds 30 points to your sex appeal.

Visit the tattoo parlor located in Idlewood.

Item
Amount of Sexappeal
  • Grave
  • Gun
  • Africa
  • Cross 3
  • Westside
  • Bullet
  • Los Santos
  • Grove
  • Angel Tattoos
All together gain you another 22 points to your sex appeal.

In total, you now have 92 points, enough to woo any girlfriend.

Warnings:

You can also increase you sex appeal by driving a sports or luxury car, but this approach is finicky. If you get too far away from the car, your sex appeal will suddenly drop. Also, if the car gets banged up during the date, you'll lose points for that, too. The most reliable way to get sex appeal is by wearing the right clothes, having an expensive haircut and adorning your body with tattoos.
How to get fat? Does it matter ingame?
If GTA San Andreas players allow CJ to become fat, his performance in the game will change drastically.

Depending on how much a player eats, it can result in physical differences.
It remains the only game where players can alter their bodies.
By eating too much food and refusing to exercise, CJ will gain body weight.

How does CJ being fat affect his performance in GTA San Andreas?

His physical abilities will decrease, such as his health and stamina.

Several missions require players to run and jump over objects. It will be harder to pull them off when they are fat.
In this state, CJ does everything slower. Whether it's climbing up walls or hopping a fence, it takes him a while.

Changes in dialog

Pedestrians in GTA San Andreas will react to CJ.
They may comment on his physical appearance, whether he is muscular or fat.
In the case of the latter, they often make fun of him.
CJ will also reference his weight in his casual dialog.

Here is one example:
"I'd rather be in a drive-thru than a drive-by."

It's worth listening to these lines.
These are some of the funniest ones in the entire game.
Rockstar Games recorded several of them for fat CJ.
GTA San Andreas players can test it out for themselves.
The game rewards players with this attention to detail.
At the very least, CJ is rather proud of his body frame.

Random Phone-Calls:

At some point, Big Smoke will call CJ to talk about his weight problems. CJ will fight back, saying Big Smoke is the last person he needs to hear this from. Sweet will also tell CJ to hit the gym more often.

GTA San Andreas puts in as many fat jokes as they possibly can. For some reason, Ryder seems to be nicer about it than Big Smoke and Sweet. However, he prefers to make fun of the player's driving skills instead.

Some more details:
One of the biggest strengths of GTA San Andreas is how meticulous it is. Regardless of the weight class, the game will comment on it. From story characters to pedestrians, there is attention to every little detail.

Size does matter in GTA San Andreas. Whether a player is thin, muscular, or fat, it does affect gameplay in unique ways.

How to lose weight?
The main way to manage Fat is to head to one of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' various gyms.

Doing stuff like:

or

and CJ feels much better after a couple minutes.

In general, every form of movement exept of cause driving a car help CJ lose weight.

How to get muscles?
Gyms...
Fastest and easiest way to get hulk in GrandTheftAuto:SanAndreas :)

it tooks a while but after around 20mins training CJ looks like a box-champion.

How To get cars for free?
Costs: FREE

You can simply steal any car and vehicle you find on the street. You can get any Cars, Motorcycles, BMX Bikes, Boats, Helicopters, Planes, and more.

Costs: FREE

Also, there are some unlockable vehicles in GTA San Andreas, that are obtained as Bonus Rewards for completing certain tasks or missions.

How to buy cars?
It's possible to buy cars in GTA San Andreas.

To do so, you must first deliver vehicles to the Easter Basin cargo ship
Walk up to the board in Easter Basin, select your vehicle (The Vehicles will cost 80% of the monetary value)

Info: You can purchase any of the vehicles that you have previously delivered.
However, you can only choose from a certain list of vehicles depending on the day of the week.

Just like stolen vehicles, purchased vehicles can be stored in your garages/safehouses.

  • Find a suitable place to hide before he spots you. Look for an area with shadows.
If the white blip on the radar that represents your position turns blue it indicates that you are in the shadows and are hidden from patrolling guards.

  • If you walk straight past the guard here he will see you. Try crouching and walking past the bar to remain out of his line of sight.

  • To stay hidden you have to stay crouched and walk past the bar.
